  1. What is the easiest way to get into Venice from the airport.  Our hotel is not far from st. Marks square.  Don’t want to spend and arm and leg either.  This part of our trip is the most confusing.

  2. Wondering how it is taking the train from Venice t9 trieste with luggage.  Is there enough room on the train to keep luggage with you?    We are seniors so trying to find the easiest way to get to Trieste.

  4. We are staying at a hotel near st. Marks square.  There will be 4 of us.  Looking for ways to get to Trieste were our cruise starts.  We don’t need same day as we are arriving in Trieste a couple days before cruise.  Thank you.

  5. I know this has been asked before, but I need peace of mind by asking myself.   What is the easiest and economical way to get fro the port to our hotel in Rome post cruise.   I am a nervous person at times, so worry about having to drag luggage on a train and doing transfers.  Is there certain cabs to take from the main train station in Rome to get to our hotel?  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  6. We stayed at hotel Lancelot in 2012 and loved it.  We have booked to stay again in July.  It’s nice and close to the colosseum and many restaurants nearby.  One of our favorite is Naumachia which is close by and we have gone back there many times.  We caught a bus around the corner which took us to the Vatican then did a leisurely stroll back stopping at other sites along the way.

  7. Just off QE.  We found the theme night formal were less fancy than we were led to believe.  There were many nice dresses, suits for men and we even saw people wandering the ship in the evening in casual wear.  Masquerade night I’d say no more than 10% wore a mask.  Going on QV next year so have a better idea of what to expect.

  8. Looking at the club Britannia cabins on Queen Elizabeth which are on deck 8, under the pool area.  Wondering if there is a lot of noise that comes from the pool deck?  Do they blast music like other cruise lines do?  First time on Cunard.

  9. If you have to move your cruise to a different sail date, in the same month and are still in deposit, but the regular fare( no refund) can this be done without losing the deposit?  Just want to move everything to a later date.

  10. This is our first cruise on Cunard.  Looking at cabin 6088 and it is beside where the ship juts out.  Is the a good cabin.  I am guessing  the view aft will not be possible.  Will there be noise from the wind hitting the jut out?

  11. We were on the June 2-14 Emerald cruise.  People ignored the elevator rule, and when told when they tried to squeeze on a already packed one, they just said 2 more won’t matter.  There were 2500 passengers.  I would say 90% did not wear masks.  We were on deck 12 and from the first day the front of the ship was closed off and we heard it was being used for crew who had tested positive.  Tenders were jammed in like sardines, tour busses full.  A few days in you could hear people coughing, it got worse as the cruise continued.  When they announced that mask were mandatory I would say 90% obliiged.  But we noticed many would sit in the lounges and keep a cup in front of them, many times we could see it was empty and they did not mask up.  Coughing got worse, some people sounded like they were coughing up lungs.  We saw people take their masks off to cough???  Staff did not enforce the masking.  People on the tenders took masks off, people on tours did not mask.  On our deck they moved the quarantine cabins on one side to the rear elevators.  At this point they just put tables outside of the cabins so you knew there was covid in that one.  We masked at all times, was nice to see staff masked.  I think this will be our last cruise for awhile.  It certainly took away from the joy of cruising.
