  1. On a Transatlantic from Lisbon, I broke the frame of my only pair of eyeglasses. Being nearly blind without them, my friend asked at the purser's desk if there was some glue we could borrow to fix them (I know, hopeless). The crew member said they thought they could do better. She took the glasses to a another crew member - a machinist - who repaired the frame within the day. This fix saved the cruise for me. Furthermore, the repair was so sturdy (and seamless) that it lasted for years.

(Fortunately, thanks to the miracles of modern science, I no longer need glasses, but that's another story)

  2. We are sailing October 27 and have a referral coupon available for you provided your final payment is made before that date. The Seabourn Club Desk must receive the coupon (original - no photocopies or fax) no fewer than 10 days before the sailing date.

I will need your name, Seabourn booking number, Address (city, state/province, postal code, country) and your email address).

Please email me at graham_montroseNOSPAM @ hotmail.com. Delete the letters in capitals and the two spaces from my email address before using.

    Thanks!

  4. Not a bad idea. If your group is going to occupy X or more % of the vessel you need to either charter it on your own or join a few smaller groups. Of course that could lead to some interesting combinations.

My old university used to rent out its facilities for conferences during the summer. One time, we had both the Coal Miners union and a Midwives association. Needles to say, the place was hopping!

  5. I have to say, as a mad dancer, I have been very disappointed by the fact that after playing 3 or 4 tunes that have everybody hopping, the bands then settle into music that is totally inappropriate for dancing like discordant jazz or outdated show tunes that just clear the room.

This happens so often that I really think it is a technique some bands use so they can justify stopping playing and get off work!

I have mentioned this issue on my Seabourn comment cards but nothing has changed.

My experiences are on the Legend and Pride.

  6. Hi

We are also previous Regent cruisers but had a cruise cancelled since our ship went into dry dock early. We took advantage of this to book Seabourn for the 1st time. We are on the Odyssey Nov 28th and VERY excited. If anyone has a referral coupon, we would be grateful. We have already paid in full so it would be used. We live in Michigan.

    Thanks!

Hi there, I have sent an email to your email address. I'd be happy to send you a referral coupon. We sail November 11 so a shipboard credit would be just great!
