Thanks. I think I will wait until I board. The OBC should more than cover it. The more I look at the premium, the more I like the options, but, I didn't see any Canadian whiskey in the list? Can you get Crown Royal in the classic package? Premium?
-
Thanks for your replies. I guess this leads me to ask, if you have the classic package from the promotion, can you upgrade it to Premium for the difference in prices? Are there ever any specials that would make it cheaper?
We are Select tier based on our C&A status, I think, if that helps.

We just booked our first Celebrity Cruise. We have been on Royal Caribbean many times, and are curious about some of the differences and similarities.
If you have a classic package, can you just pay the difference for out of package drinks?
Are there other options for lunch on embarkation day besides the buffet?
What time are Florida boardings, usually?
Is the bar service in the dining room good?
Is there bar waiter service in the Solarium?
Thanks.

I am in Canada and I got it. It might be North American only. Would it be worth it to you to call and ask?
-
I jumped on this (first time on Celebrity, but who could resist?). The PVP did warn me that if I cancelled after final payment in the lose your deposit phase, they charge you the full deposit, not the $25pp.
Anyone know what the odds of Richard Spacey being the CD on the Silhouette next January are? :D

Does anyone know the order they are served in? We are trying to figure out the best day for Chops.

Well I'm trying to figure out how to post larger photos....Hopefully this will work... Hopefully you can see it better. Now what do you ladies think about colors. I may order more than one! :)
Stunning!

Love formal nights, wanting to try some new lines. I know RCCL does.
-
I would also recommend rum and hot chocolate.
-
Irish coffee for me, please.
-
Lovely dresses. Makes me want to go shopping.
-
Nothing to forgive. I think most of us are in "open relationships" with our cruise lines. :)

I find the "rental" snorkels usually have really stiff mouth pieces that make my mouth very sore. I went to a dive shop and got a higher end one with a soft mouth piece. It really makes a difference when you are in the water for an hour or so.
-
There are bathrooms outside, near where you get taxis and shuttles to go home.
-
Almost forgot - the Solarium, cantilevered hot tubs, Johnny Rockets and the Sorrento's on the Freedom.
-
For me, I know I am on vacation when I sit down in Sorrento's with my veggie pizza and a spirited beverage.
-
Thanks, but we don't have a car, and we live in Canada. Any recommendations in Grand Cayman?
-
Count me in as loving formal nights. I also like the different venues on the ships: so much variety. We always find the service to be friendly and attentive.
-
We need to get new masks and snorkels, of good quality and value (we got our last ones at a dive shop, but there aren't any near us any more and that was 15 years ago). Is the dive shop on the Freedom a good place to get them, or can someone recommend a shop early in the Western itinerary?
-
Mine doesn't have a charge either. Just the normal buy/sell spread.
-
I use an Amex card as the currency option is only available for Visa or MasterCard . Therefore the issue is avoided from the beginning . You'll notice in the small print under the choices on the set sail pass it's only valid for these two card issuers .
I was about to post that as well. I have never had a problem.

Adults only area with pool and hot tub. :) And, if you are on the Indy, cantilevered hot tubs, at that.
I have heard the waiters no longer sing in the dining room. :D

Here we go:
Entire night club is going bye-bye.
Deck 3 will be filled with passenger cabins.
Deck 4 will become Sabor. I know that many of you are hoping for that, so your wishes are coming true.
Deck 12 will get the same new cabins as on Navigator
The Cupcake Cupboard, although "new" to Freedom (original on Liberty and Independence, but not on Freedom; added later), is going bye-bye. Probably more retail space. No specific word on that. My guess? A Coach store. ;)
Izumi is going somewhere in the Windjammer area.
Portofino will be re-purposed as Giovanni's Table.
Royal Caribbean is considering doing away with Formal Nights, and/or having a separate dining room/area for people who want to dress formally.
Did I forget anything?
Still have to investigate the gym and the CD more. ;)
So where are people supposed to go dancing if they are getting rid of the nightclub? I can't say I am fond of this idea. That's one of my favourite spaces at sea. :(
Is this going to be another case of increasing the number of passengers whilst simultaneously decreasing public spaces?
Any word on where we can let Royal Caribbean know our opinion on formal nights?
Thanks for the updates!

I am so envious. I hope you are having a fantastic time.
Is the Schooner Bar still excessively refrigerated? I have loved it on other ships, but on the Freedom it always seems so cold. It would be nice if they have adjusted this.
Who is your steward? Table staff?
Do you go to the Champagne Bar? Vintages?
To go through TA or not to...

As for getting the best deal, when I called Royal Caribbean to make the final payment on my next cruise, they gave me the bogoho without my asking. -- I hadn't realized it could be applied. Saved me about $400. :D
I like handling these things myself. But I have never used a travel agent who didn't cost me more money by delaying, purchasing the wrong thing, or just not being there when I needed them. YMMV.
