  1. I can tell you FOR SURE that the two port days there was NO COMEDY SHOW. Not even a late night one and the broadway show was off one of those nights as well. This was a five day cruise. People on board the freedom who had sailed the magic preferred it. I have never sailed the magic.

"There r shows every night and a late night comedy show. " this was not true for us.

Port days I really didn't pay attention to activities because we got off the ship. The piano bar was great but this was Tony's last time on the Magic. DK who will be the piano guy now.

the person that said if you like to dance it is lacking is kind of right. but lots of people danced outside the casino in that band area and no one cared.

Malcolm was our cruise director and he was sooo funny. I thought the food was good and staff was nice and very accommodating. Only rude staff person we ever encountered was the "manager" of the comedy club who also DJ'd some nights, fluffy or something like that? I just figured she was having a bad day. They seem to work them like dogs these days and they wear many hats all day long.

  2. It is a nice ship and I got sick of hearing people compare it to the Magic LOL. If you have sailed the Magic obviously it is better in most people's eyes.

    Cruise director Malcolm. Very entertaining.

Activities: Seemed limited. Especially on Port day evenings. Why would you have the main show, comedy acts and piano bar all off on the same night. This would be my main complaint. Port evenings it was DEAD for activities.

Food: I liked the American dining table Menu. Thought it was good. Loved the steakhouse though! Worth every cent.

Pools were nice but not big enough. Hot tubs always full. Serenity deck made me mad cause people still brought their kids up there!

  3. I have not cruised in ten years Back then we had a set dining time and sat with the same people every night. None of this flexible stuff. LOL. We picked flexible times this cruise. What does it mean? You just go whenever and they squeeze you in with 6 new strangers every night wherever you fit. My husband doesn't understand the cruise dining that you do not get a table for two LOL. I am trying to explain it but I am not sure how it works anymore either.

  4. For us first timers on Carnival Freedom how much is the average drink price? Like an old fashioned or a margarita to order then by the drink? Trying to decide of the cheers program is worth it or not.
