  1. I just don't ''get it''....we have cruised 11 times with RC and never once have we planned anything.....I read these boards and laugh at some of the posts.

where is the bed situated, my show times changed, there is no this or that anymore, RC has ruined my vacation etc, etc.....

You go on a vacation to relax, not organise everything like a military operation. and yes, I am ex military, I just don't get why people sweat the small stuff... I mean it's not the end of the world is it !

  2. Sorry but this post just makes me laugh...

you were on the phone in tears !!!!!...... be thankful that you can even cruise, and at this time of the year too, also with your family surrounding you.

Just go and enjoy yourself and don't have dramatics.. depending on the grandkids ages you might be thankful that they miss it, it has some adult story lines

  3. Never sailed on Voyager, but I have sailed with RCL on 11 other occasions, and I have never read such a negative review !

a 2 star hotel in Blackpool on a stag weekend !!!! never

5 hour queues to get on and off ???..... I don't think the ships are in port long enough for a queue that length

dirty room and balcony........ you should have complained to housekeeping

you say this cruise was a ''real bad one''.....in what way ?

you also say there were ''loads'' of upset passengers, yet no-one else has come here to complain ?

oh and welcome to Cruise Critic

  4. I would ask your friend how he feels...... we were booked for 16th Aug this year with 4 days at Disney, then a 7 night which ended up all over the place due to hurricanes........

I had 2 heart attacks on 5th July, though we did have insurance, we took it out at time of booking, the doc was the one to decide if we went or stayed, they didn't let us know until Friday 14th Aug that we could go, and we did, it was the best decision we made.

we did hire a wheelchair for Disney as I couldn't walk far, but the cruise, despite the hurricanes changing our itinery, was the best and most relaxing experience I could have asked for and it helped to take my mind off the shock we were still in.

I hope your friend has a speedy recovery and gets everything sorted

  5. We always, always buy insurance and never need it, but this year I'm so glad we did, we booked a year in advance for our Adventure of the seas trip on 17th August and a week in Orlando, and bought the insurance at time of booking.

I am so glad we did as I had a heart attack on July 5th and doctor gave us the go ahead 4 days before we were due to fly out and because we had the insurance in place, we were fully covered for everything wether the doctor let us go or not

  6. Jeez....... we just got home on Sunday and paid nearly £8,000 for three of us to do 4 days in Orlando and flights Edinburgh/New York/Florida/Miami/Puerto Rico to sail Adventure of the Seas, which was ''supposed'' to visit St Maarten, St Lucia, St Kitts Barbados and Antigua..

we had a complete itinerary change due to storm Danny then storm Erika,

We ended up doing St Maarten, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao

we were offered nothing for free, no lobster or wifi, not even a drink, never heard anyone complain, you can't fix mother nature !!!

and we had an absolute ball
