We are booked in B3 and have been offered cash and upgrade to concierge but have to travel on 3/28 cruise which we did last year plus other ports.

The offers are for their sailing on Riviera on 3/28. We have to turn this down because of scheduling conflict and the itinerary we have done before. We sailed on Oceania for the first time last year and was offered a 14 day cruise to change from our schedule 10 day cruise, no extra cost for the 4 extra days.

I am booked on the Riviera, scheduled to sail on 2/22/14. Have received several offers from Oceania to sail on 3/28/14 cruise instead. Only problem with the itinerary on 3/28, more sea days plus have seen all the ports previously. Just wondering why Oceania has been so persistent?

Does Oceania change the menus significantly from what is found on the web site? Also wondering if anyone who has had dinner there on either Marina or Riviera thought that the fee of $95 / per person was worth it?

My wife and I went on a similar itinerary on Riviera last year. Saw a lot of sea turtles snorkeling in Barbados and also had good snorkeling in Antigua.

Trying to decide on a 2015 Australia / New Zealand cruise. Looking at a 16 day on Oceania Sydney to Auckland or a 14 day Celebrity Auckland to Sydney. Posted this question on the Oceania forum and most people preferred Oceania. I have cruised on both cruise lines and they both have pros and cons. Certainly interested in hearing from anyone who has sailed this itinerary on Celebrity.

Trying to choose between two excursions. Misty Fiords & Wilderness Explorer which by catamaran, 4.5 hrs in length or Classic Misty Fiords Flight Seeing which is about 2 hrs. In length. Would be interested in hearing from members who have done both.

The Oceania cruise from Australia to New Zealand cruises in Milford Sound before it's next port of Dunedin, New Zealand. Does anyway who may have cruised this route before know how close the ship gets to Fiordland National Park? In others words can you see the Fiords very well?

Rhohea,
Yes, this is a ship tour and can be found on the Oceania web site. The code number for this excursion is LAR007.

Mumofnine,
Thank you for your reply. This cruise starts in Sydney and ends in Auckland. When we dock in Melbourne we are going this Puffing Billy, wildlife and Dandenongs tour. The bus goes through Ferntree Gully to Belgrave. We then board the train. We then reboard the bus at Menzies Creek. We then to a winery followed by a stop at Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary then back to the ship.
The next port we stop at is Geelong, from this port we will take the Ocean Rd & 12 Apostles trip with a visit to Port Campbell National Park. Can't wait to visit your country.

Booked to Oceania Riviera for February 22, 2014 cruise. One port is La Romana, Dominican Republic. Has anyone done the Chavon River Cruise? This same tour also visits Altos de Chavon which sits on land above the river.

Paulchili,
Funny that you mention shore excursions in Geelong. This is one stop where we are having a tough time deciding between two shore excursions. Trying to decide between Great Ocean Road & 12 Apostles or Otway Fly Treetop Walk, which sounds very different. My wife and I both like nature and landscapes. The Great Ocean Road trip is 10 hours versus the Treetop Walk coming in at 8 hours. Certainly interesting in hearing your opinion on this especially if you have gone on the Ocean Road & 12 Apostles.
Thanks,

Paulchili,
Thank you for your reply. I have been on O once and already have two others cruises scheduled in 2014 because we enjoyed the Riviera so much. I have been on Celebrity 3 other times, all we're very nice as well. You are right, at the end of the day O is our number 1 choice.

I have booked a 16 day Australia / New Zealand cruise for 2015 on Oceania Marina. I have also looked at a 14 day Australia / New Zealand cruise on Celebrity Solstice. The Celebrity cruise is cheaper and does not stop at Napier, NZ or Geelong, Aus. Just wondering if anyone has experience with either of these cruises? Since I am booked with Oceania already I am leaning this way in spite of the price difference.

Booked for Sydney to Auckland cruise for February 2015. Just wondering if the ports of Dunedin, Akaroa, Wellington, Napier & Rotorua where passengers disembark are interesting and walkable? Any input would be helpful.

Does anyone know when Oceania will start refurbishing the Regatta? Cruising on her in early June 2014. I heard that they will be adding a grill area like what is found on the "O" ships.

What kind of waterproof photographic camera were you using. Some really nice quality. I have used a Nikon AW300 are this camera is nice but can not touch your level of image quality.

Considering Oceania Riveria vs Celebrity Eclipse for Caribbean cruise next winter. I have cruised on Celebrity Equinox via aqua class and if we decide on Oceania we would sail via concierge class. Looking for opinions from others who have sailed on both Celebrity and Oceania.

DW and I have booked this tour when in Dominica in March on the Equinox. Just wondering what others have thought of this tour? I am into photography and this island sounds like a great place for great picture taking opportunities.
Choice Air vs Internet
in Celebrity Cruises

Just wondering if Choice Air is a better alternative to getting good air rates yourself on the internet or directly with the airlines. Planning on flying from U.S. to Australia in January 2015.
