We are doing a TA that ends in Amsterdam in April, then want to spend about a week in Germany. The lowest one-way return to our desired US airport is 6 times the round trip fare for the same route. ( $3700 vs $666 )

Is there any way around this? I know I can just toss the tickets for the return flights to Frankfurt, but the flight from Frankfurt to US shows as only $430 when booked on a round trip US - FRA - US. Therefore $236 x 2 = $472 lost, compared to what the flight should cost. Any suggestions?
