  1. I have to tell you Mike, I am driving my husband crazy over this trip. I come home every day and scout this site for anything and EVERYTHING I can find about the ship. When I saw your posta nd started reading...I ran down stairs, poured myself a nice BIG glass of wine and went on the best trip ever......thanks so much, now I am so excited and my husband is rolling his eyes...yes it is going to be a very long winter for him...LOL, but seriously it was a GREAT review

    Mike...

I can see the effect you have on women....you drive them to drink!!! LOL.;)

  2. For those who love Moderno...

News is that NCL will be rolling this restaurant out to the rest of the fleet in the future. Speculation is that it will take the place of the Tex-Mex restaurants.

Additionally, another dining option is about to be released. For those who love Moderno's salad bar...it will soon be available as a dining option all on its own.

I haven't tried Moderno yet but I can't wait. Every review I have read about this restaurant has been great and folks really seem to love it. Great news and a good move from NCL to replace the Tex Mex with Moderno on other ships in the fleet.

  3. When I ask him last night, he said his shower did the same thing.

Yes, they are full size. I'm not sure what type of room you have to get in order to get bigger beds. I've heard a lot of people mention that their beds are full size and that they seem to be "shorter" than a normal bed. Make sure you do a lot of research before booking if you require a bigger size bed. I would also ask if the queen size beds seem shorter than normal queen size beds as well. :)

Just wondering why neither of you reported the water temperature fluctuation to maintenance. Scalding water, even for a few seconds, could be harmful. Then to fluctuate to cold water... that should have been repaired IMHO.

We are booked in an aft balcony stateroom. The description of the stateroom mentions this cabin has a queen size bed. I have read over and over on Cruise Critic that these queen size beds are shorter than a normal queen but pulling the bed out from under the headboard adds a few inches to the length. Folks have said they pull the bed out at night and push it back in the morning.

My point is...a full size bed is just too small for DH and myself to get a good night's sleep. Just not enough room to "spread out". A studio cabin would be out of the question for the two of us.

  4. I didn't have a problem at all. This was the first time that I've ever stayed in an interior cabin. I've always had a room with a view. But it didn't bother me at all like I thought it might. :)

Yes, I would definitely book this room again. As I said in the review, I think my husband and I would be able to stay in just one room if it came down to it and been fine. But 2 rooms made it really nice.

Aren't the studio beds full size? That's would be too small for DH and me. It must be at least a queen size bed for us.

  5. No, I did not report it. I've been in places before that this happened and thought it just might be normal. The funny thing is, I never even mentioned it to my husband to see if his was like that. Hmmm I'll have to ask. He didn't mention it to me either.

I'll be waiting to hear about your husband's shower water temp. Sounds to me like it is not the normal or other folks would have surely mentioned this. Thanks.

I was told...or did I read it...um.....can not remember...but I believe a villa o a suites guest mention how good they were and they were served them...and they suggested that someone else fro, any other category cabin...inquire from room service to see if you could get them. It has not been confirmed as of yet if anyone got them-ordered them up from room service.

    * It will be confirmed or removed from this list, ASAP. Thank you...

Thanks for being on top of all these tips and such.

    - If you so desire a super-snack – try ordering ‘the home-made potatoes chips with blue cheese crumble’ trough room service.

Is this item listed only on the suites room service menu or is it also included on the menu for the lower category cabins such as insides and regular balconies? I would love to try these but I'm afraid I won't be able to because we are booked in a BA cabin. Thanks.

...For a treat (maybe dinner) or for real gourmet dining plan to visit the pay restaurants, but then you will have the best dining experience at sea.

DH and I love the specialty restaurants, especially Cagney's and Le Bistro. From what I've been reading, however, the best dining experience at see is the Epic Club. Unfortunately, we won't be eligible to dine there as we are in a BA cabin.

  9.

Creme Brulee at Cagney's says Raspberry Creme Brulee. I hate raspberries so I didn't order it. Another couple we were eating with ordered it and I found out that the raspberries are on top (too late) so if you don't like them you can pick them off.

It's never too late unless you have left the restaurant. You can order as many appys and deserts as you like in the specialty restaurants. I have ordered a second desert after consuming the first one on occasion is I find I can muster up a bit more room to enjoy another desert.

  10. I didn't get that information on the ship, but I have all the dailies. Anyone know if it was posted anywhere? I'm sure I could find out if I know where to look. I know it was pretty full because the week I left I started doing room searches on-line to see what was still available, and there wasn't much! There were no rooms bigger than what I had (BA) and not a lot of BA's either.

What additional information do you need about embarkation and debarkation?

DH always looks at the screen when we leave the ship and they swipe your card. It says on the screen how many people are on board.

  11. I think you are referring to the toilet. I was talking about a seperate room (toilet, sink, shower). The villas have seperate bathrooms that encompass the toilet, sink and shower. The regular rooms have the facilities in the room with a door to go into the shower and into the toilet. The sink however, is in the room.

It's nice to know standard cabins do have a door to the toilet room. Come to think of it, I've seen photos of this so I don't know why I got so concerned.

Having said that however, the handicap CV is only one room, including the bahroom??? Is there no door at all separating the bathroom(s) from the rest of the living space in this villa???

  12. I don't really know if they did this to all handicap rooms. I only saw the CV handicap room. Come to think of it they wouldn't need to do this to all the rooms 'cause they are already like this! aren't they???? Duhh to me!

What do you mean, "they are already like this"??? Standard rooms have no door to the bathrooms??? You are joking, right???

  13. There were no separating walls...the bathroom was separated by a curtain as well as the second bedroom. In other words...no interior walls and I don't believe their was a bathtub...only a shower.

No door to the bathroom??? I can not believe what I'm reading here. Only a curtain separating the bathroom from the rest of the living space??? No, this can not be. Please, tell me this is not the way it is.

  14. I haven't read through this entire thread...it's too long. If this subject has already been addressed, I apologize for mentioning it again.

DH and I will be on Liberty OTS in three days. Yay!!! I have read on this mb that RCCL is not cooling their ships very well lately. Could it be true that this is one of the energy saving methods RCCL has resorted to???

Anyone recently on Liberty find the ship was on the warm side??? Thanks for any replies.
