I have made comments before about the pictures posted on this sidebar.  These are great. 

I usually find the photos that are automatically posted on CC awful at best but I like this one because our first cruise ever was on the Lewis R French.  I have very fond memories of that cruise.

The paint schemeand the appearance of this ship has to be the ugliest ship ever launched.

If this picture is real. it looks more like a carnival (lower case intended) than a cruise ship.  Personal opinion but you wouldn't catch me dead on such a monstrosity.

Looking at these pictures shows me how immeasurably ugly these ships as compared to the older ships.  They look like large rectangular shipping boxes.  Compare them to the lines of one of the Cunard ships.
