  1. Thank you - I appreciate that because we're in the same cabin twice this year. I'm wondering if the walk to the elevators is really long? Please post any & all comments when you return since you'll be on it right after the renovation. Thanks!

It's not a long walk to the elevators as there are three sets on the M class, we were in this cabin on a NE/CA in September and loved it.

  2. Hi Norris,

I loved your Silhouette review and, obviously, had to read your Princess and X comparison. Our first sailing on the Silhouette will be a B2B in October and November this year and I was very interested in your opinion of the ship... I have also started reading your Venice to Rome review and I love, love, LOVE your writing style and all the photos!

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. I am trying to go the opposite direction: Port Everglades to MIA the Sunday before Thanksgiving following a TA cruise... The flight leaves at 12:20 PM and the ship docks at 5 AM... I haven't found any posts for that route regarding transportation or if that is enough time to make the flight... Can any advise? Much appreciated...

    Thanks...

  4. Molina Stucky Hilton on Giudecca is nice. The taxi will take you to the hotel and call a bellman before you actually dock. The bellman gathers the luggage off the taxi and takes them into the hotel for you... The hotel will call a taxi for you when you're ready to go to the ship, too, and there's a really nice rooftop bar...

  5. You need to be on the port side to see the Statue if on the Summit. Great views of the harbor. Also going under the VZ bridge for me was spectacular. In all the thousands of times I crossed that bridge it was only the second time I have ever been under it. I loved it!

We will be in an aft/stern cabin on the Summit, do we still need to go to the port side to see the Statue and the bridge?

    Thanks :)

  6. I'm very lucky that my fabulous online TA has it's physical presence just a few miles up the road from where I live. They just won a big award from Celebrity, and I have developed a wonderful relationship with the same agent that I've used over the years. I wish I could name them, but I won't because it's against the rules. I found them originally right here on the Cruise Critic website.

My sister and I use that agency, too! My sister lives in the town where the TA is located, out on the Neck... Wonderful people at the agency, we always get great deals...
