I, too, am loving your review!

We are on Silhouette's West Bound TA in November and I am really enjoying your review! Thanks for sharing... :)

I love the M class ships and am thoroughly enjoying your review! Thanks for sharing. :)

I couldn't see the photos either...

Thank you - I appreciate that because we're in the same cabin twice this year. I'm wondering if the walk to the elevators is really long? Please post any & all comments when you return since you'll be on it right after the renovation. Thanks!
It's not a long walk to the elevators as there are three sets on the M class, we were in this cabin on a NE/CA in September and loved it.

My first drink is always the glass of sparkling wine I'm handed while being welcomed aboard on any Celebrity ship... ;)

Hi Norris,
I loved your Silhouette review and, obviously, had to read your Princess and X comparison. Our first sailing on the Silhouette will be a B2B in October and November this year and I was very interested in your opinion of the ship... I have also started reading your Venice to Rome review and I love, love, LOVE your writing style and all the photos!
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Sharon. I'll call them... :)

I am trying to go the opposite direction: Port Everglades to MIA the Sunday before Thanksgiving following a TA cruise... The flight leaves at 12:20 PM and the ship docks at 5 AM... I haven't found any posts for that route regarding transportation or if that is enough time to make the flight... Can any advise? Much appreciated...
Thanks...

Not a long walk as there are three sets of stairs/elevators. We had very calm seas so there was no motion issues.

I haven't been in 6135, but we stayed in 6144 and it's a good sized room with a huge balcony... Would definitely stay in it again... :)

Loving your review! Looking forward to the rest....

We're sailing on the Summit on 9/20/15, my husband will be happier with this beer selection than our last cruise in 2013. What time does cellar masters open for beer purchasing? Hubby thinks 10 AM is a good time ;)

Molina Stucky Hilton on Giudecca is nice. The taxi will take you to the hotel and call a bellman before you actually dock. The bellman gathers the luggage off the taxi and takes them into the hotel for you... The hotel will call a taxi for you when you're ready to go to the ship, too, and there's a really nice rooftop bar...

You need to be on the port side to see the Statue if on the Summit. Great views of the harbor. Also going under the VZ bridge for me was spectacular. In all the thousands of times I crossed that bridge it was only the second time I have ever been under it. I loved it!
We will be in an aft/stern cabin on the Summit, do we still need to go to the port side to see the Statue and the bridge?
Thanks :)

I'm very lucky that my fabulous online TA has it's physical presence just a few miles up the road from where I live. They just won a big award from Celebrity, and I have developed a wonderful relationship with the same agent that I've used over the years. I wish I could name them, but I won't because it's against the rules. I found them originally right here on the Cruise Critic website.
My sister and I use that agency, too! My sister lives in the town where the TA is located, out on the Neck... Wonderful people at the agency, we always get great deals...

Cafe al Bacio
Is there such a place on the Century? I'm not finding one of these on the Deck Plans.
I think it might still be called Cova Caffe on Century...

At the end of the cruise we visited all our favorite bartenders and gave them a nice parting gift. This worked out well for us since we don't usually carry around cash for tipping during the cruise.
Good Sailing
Tom
We did this too, and they seemed surprised to be given the "extra" ;)

We had the premium alcohol package on our recent Equinox cruise and our wine steward went to Cellar Masters for wines not on the list in the MDR. Special requests need to be done in advance so you will need to talk to your wine steward early or better, the night before... :)
Quiet street in Rome, possible?

We found the Albergo Santa Chiara to be quiet and we walked to all the majors: http://www.albergosantachiara.com/?lang=en
