We took a ground trip to Iceland in May three years ago. You need MANY layers and waterproof outer layers at that time of year. Weather ranged from torrential rain to
very pleasant when you could wear only a light jacket. Iceland is a real treat!

Don't obsess over this; Compass Rose is a sensational venue with a terrific range of options. As mentioned above lunches in Prime 7 and Chartreuse on Explorer are unbelievably fun.
Not obsessing. Just asking a question.

On a. 14 day cruise we get 3 nights in specialty restaurants? On Explorer, so one reservation in each?
-
Another yes to Nile Cruises! If you want to see Egypt, it's a good way to do it.

If you do end up booking a private tour in St. Petersburg, I can highly recommned TJ Travel. We went together with two other couples and we were able to set our own itinerary as to what to see and do. They were outstanding.

That doesnt sound correct....where exactly are u hearing that from?
Seabourn rep from whom we are purchasing the cruise. Seabourn doesn't
begin cruises to Cuba until Nov. 2019. Ours is in Dec.

Seabourn is telling us if we don't book their tours we have to get our own visa and prove that tours we take are government approved ???
-
We will be going to three ports in Cuba. If they take your visa in the first port, do you get it back? If not is a passport stamp enough to go ashore in the second and third ports?

Currently on Silhouette and have dineed there twice. We got it for $25 pp both times
asit was empty. Service and food were very good.

Just off Seabourn Oddessy and we were very impressed.
First cruise with Seabourn, only other luxury lin Silversea last March.
Our inlaws were very recent on Viking Ocean, an not impressed at all. They have been on Silversea and have another booked for Europe in May. Once we tell them
about our experience with Seabourn, I'm sure they will want to try it.

So if I have OB credit from Travel Agent, it takes precidence over referral credit?

We are first time cruisers sailing on Odesssy on April 7. Anyone have a coupon? It would be much appreciated!
My email is ccatfield@hotmail.com. Thanks!

You can always drive to DFW and fly from Miami if the cruise you pick
Is not from NOLA or Galveston.
-
In the evening does the room service menu include what's available in the MDR
that evening? If so, how do you access that information? We sail on Constellation in May in Concierge Class.

Sometimes it depends on the airlines you fly. We will be on AA which I am very familiar with (actually way too familiar with...) and Lufthansa. The carry on limits on Lufthansa are not that bad, but my carry on wouldn't qualify, so I got a new one. In fact, I really needed it. It's larger than my other one, but the dimentions are right. I generally fly with a small Travelpro case that expands a lot, a carry
on and a shoulder/computer bag.
For a trip that includes 4 nights pre cruise, 10 day cruise, and one night post cruise (plus the flight), I will take white jeans, blue jeans for the flight and black pants for formal nights. Lots of tops. Several pairs of shoes inclucingn the crocs flats mentioned earlier. I roll my clothes in the checked suitcase. The wrinkles fall out pretty easiy.
I take lots of meds and also carry a virtual pharmacy with me. I'm looking forward to using my new carry on since it will hold a lot more than the previous, but will qualify on most international airlines. I do wish that the
airlines would get their acts together and agree on carry on limits.

I got RSV a serious, a upper respiratory virus, on a Silversea cruise (300 people). I was total incapacitated. No help from the ship doc. Worst ever for me. Even worse than the flu. As I looked back, the sanitary precautions were not even those of a large ship re: hand sanitizer, etc. I'm frankly afraid re: our upcoming Med cruise.

I have taken a cruise on the Bosphorus during the day. Not from a cruise ship as we were on a business trip. I got tons of great photos and personally think that if you can do it during the day you will see a lot more and, it would much better than a dinner cruise. Just
my opinion.:)

We got a group of six together and used TJ Travel. They give you a choice of what you want to see and we all had a very good day with them.

We will be taking a cruise out of venice in early May. Three stops in Croatia, one in Montenegro, then on to Sicily and Naples, then back to Venice.
Can anyone advise as to how cool the weather will be and what clothing should be worn in ports?
Thanks.

We used TJ Travel in St Petersburg and would again. Teamed up with a couple from Israel. Had a roomy air comditioned van and we were able to determine what we wanted to see and what we didn't. Highly recommend. P..S. They were also very reasonable.

Thanks!
