I just did a balcony guarantee on Mariner for 9/29. At the time of booking the balconies were sold out. I got room 8600, a nice mid-ship balcony. Happy camper!

I got the same email for the same type of cabin on Liberty in May

What's a .88 spin?
What about entering a slot tournament? They are kind of fun but I haven't done one in 10 years or so!

I always avoid the Casino as it's just not something I enjoy. However, after hearing about everyone's great offers, I definitely want to go lose $20 on my next cruise in hopes of snagging one of the great deals! So my question is, what do I do? Do I just go get some chips or play the slots or what? How do they know it's me?

I had this exact same choice recently! I went with the Magic since I had never been to Bonaire and I wanted to re-visit Aruba. I have been on the Magic twice already and I really loved it both times. I will catch the Mardi Gras another time! I sail in 29 days:) You really can't go wrong imho

I LOVE the Lido balconies on Magic. Hallway and balcony are very quiet. The hallway doors are usually shut to the elevator area.

Is the package ever discounted more than 10% prior to the cruise? I have been waiting on an email that will perhaps offer a bigger discount.

Thank you!!! Not too tech savvy here.....

My favorite ship! I'm sailing on it again April 23rd. The layout is perfect. The atrium at night is so fun. Head there after dinner to dance, etc. I stay on the Lido deck. It's suprisingly quiet and close to all the action. The pool on the back is great as well and the pizza back there is amazing. Deck 5 outside is another fun place to hang out. Great bands play there at night inside.
I get up early and hit the gym and track for a few hours and then have a bloody mary and head to the Juevos Rancheros on the Lido.
You will love it!

Will be on the same cruise.
It will probably be pretty full I would imagine!

Years ago I used to give the 12 packs of soda to the luggage check-in with a luggage tag on it. Will the porters still take them? Not a fan of Pepsi products:(

The juevos rancheros is to die for. Don't tell anyone though. You don't have to get in the regular line, you just walk up to the front. They cook the eggs to order and put in atop some kind of wonderful thing.

Costa Maya was our last stop on the Allure last week and truthfully, I was at that point where I couldn't eat or drink any more, so I'm very glad I didn't go with an All-inclusive. I cruised with a friend and we took the $4 per person each way taxi to the Krazy Lobster based on CC posts. The cab was clean and nice. After we got to town, someone escorted us to the Krazy Lobster and found us lounge chairs in the sun. They immediately brought us tiny sample frozen margaritas. I love Pacifico and Sol beer and they are kind of hard to find in my town (at least at restaurants). I had one of each and my friend had a Coca Cola lite. Our bill was only $6 since we weren't hungry and had already had a Bloody Mary or two on the ship. We gave them $20. We had a great time watching a few local families play in the cold water. There were a few vendors who were very polite. We bought a mango and it was amazing.
View from our chairs
Looking in the other direction from our chairs
A vendor of beautiful blankets. You can also see how extremely laid back the Krazy Lobster is.
The main street. The manager was standing here as we left and he introduced himself and asked how everything was. We felt very safe walking to the taxi area from here.
It was a great day and so much better than the port area to me.

You have me very excited for next week! Thank you so much for responding. I'm so worried about passing the dern COVID test on Friday. I had it on January 8th. I am all better but.....hoping for the best!

I am sailing on this same itinerary this Sunday and I have a few questions. On my ap, the dining menu has nothing on Day 2 and has an additional day 7 for this 6 night cruise. Did you guys have the menu with the lobster?
Could you please tell us what you did in Cozumel, Roatan and Costa Maya? I am wondering if the water is warm enough for snorkeling. This Southern girl does not like cold water🥶
Thank you!!

The "discounted" price for my Jan 30th cruise is $70 a day for the beverage package! This is probably so they can advertise a bigger % off for Black Friday.
Any guesses how low it might go?
-
How much do you think the beverage package might be on Black Friday? Currently shows $58 a day for my cruise at the end of January. Doesn't seem like too much of a deal to me.

anything on St John

Love this excursion. My girlfriends and I did this. Arrived and walked around a bit. Went to the local grocery for some picnic items. Took the open air taxi to Cinnamon Bay. Best day ever! There are soooo many beaches on St. John. Do some research and try one out or walk through the National Park to Honeymoon Beach.

I just did a mock booking for you ship sailing date, only thing even left are insides, and a couple of sail away balconies so your odds of upgrade are slim, enjoy your cruise
Thanks for checking that for me! I booked an inside guarantee and was almost immediately assigned the very worst category inside on deck 5. A week later I checked the prices and the inside guarantee had gone down over $300 for a cabin. I called and all they offered me was a $70 total shipboard credit with still keeping deck 5. I turned that down and my personal cruise consultant sent an email to his supervisor and suddenly we are on deck 12 so I'm happy about that. I did learn that the manager on duty when you call can really vary in his or her "niceness".

I just booked the St John Eco Hike tour through the ship. I would either do nothing except walk around the pier shops or do a ship's excursion. I would be too worried about missing the ship to have fun doing anything else.

I love an adventure, but it was very sketchy the last time I did this walking tour last fall. Human feces on the sidewalk kind of sketchy, not just too many vendors kind of sketchy. There were ladies trying to charge us money to climb the staircase, which is not real. It's sad, but I'm staying on the ship next month except maybe to check out the new port area.
