  1. Rte 3??? That's a parking lot every morning, then so is Rte 24 and 95. Road repairs, accidents, special events in Boston all contribute to the traffic mess. Whatever is your "normal" drive time to Boston, add an hour and be aware of alternate routes just in case. You may want to keep an eye on "smart routes" for a few weeks and look at traffic volume on the same day as your cruise so you'll be aware of the general speed and road conditions.

Thank you for responding Darcy. We'd go 24 to 93. It's about a 50 minute ride from our pick up spot to the terminal. Good suggestions with adding an additional hour and checking traffic volume on same day as cruise! I will do that this Friday. We leave on the 25th. Maybe I can think of some fun games/prize giveaways for our group while we wait in traffic!:confused:clear.png?emoji-confused-1977Thanks again!

  2. Wondering what others experience was driving to the port in Boston? We live about 50 minutes south of Boston and I know traffic can be crazy at certain times of the morning. What are your suggestions for a good time to drive into port? Our check-in time is 10-1030?

  3. Having never been to Bermuda are the rain storms like the Caribbean and just last a few minutes here and there or is it a full day of rain? I know weather is hard to predict - I live in New England! But just curious what it's like?? Leaving in 10 days and 2 of the 3 days are calling for rain :(

  4. Needs to be a heavy duty cord rated for your hair dryer. A light weight cord. could melt down and set your ship afire. Just sit at the vanity and keep the hair dryer out of the bathroom.

Little drastic don’t you think! This has to be the worst board to ask questions to. People are so rude and no it all! I’ve used a dryer IN A BATHROOM before and haven’t caught a ship on fire! Relax people

  5. Yes there is a piano bar (kind of small, gets very crowded) called Gatsby's. Also there is music in the atrium (either a pianist that sits in the coffee shop or a band that plays one floor up and overlooks the atrium). Also music at the pool and sometimes in Bliss. I think that's about it

Hmmm...I guess better than nothing! Thank you!

  6. Was wondering if anyone knew who kind of music was played throughout the ship? Is there music in the Atrium? Certain rooms at night? Is there a piano bar? We always like to find somewhere to sit and listen to some live music so just wondering what's offered? Thanks!

  7. Thank you for the help. Yes, I understand there aren't any pontoons or other boats big enough for the group - we'd get 2 if that's the route we take. I'll look into the links sent. Thank you again

  8. Has anyone rented a boat (pontoon or whatever) or chartered a boat for a group? We have 20-22 people and would really like to do something like this for all of us. Was wondering if someone has done something like this if they could offer any recommendations on who to use, etc.?

Maybe something that provided snacks & refreshments or even lunch?

  9. Having never cruised on NCL can you veteran cruisers tell me if you use any organizers or power strips and if so what kind do you use? Are they a nuisance or does it make things easier??

We'll be in an interior cabin on the Dawn in May. I have used a shoe organizer for my toiletries, etc. on other lines only because I hate clutter and there wasn't really a lot of room on the shelves in the bathroom.

Does the Dawn interior room bathroom doors allow you to put an organizer up??

thanks for any helpful tips for this newbie!
