Thanks Zimmy. Actually, we are crashing... Um, "joining"... the Vandrefalks on their upcoming SD Rome-Rome cruise in October, so we're really looking fwd to that.

DJ, Corinth is truly a unique experience. You can almost reach out and touch the sides as you pass through it.

SDII, Oct 6 Rome-Rome, with the Vandrefalks. :D

We're very excited because we had a trip to Sicily planned years ago but it did not work out.

Also, on a previous trip to Amalfi, we had planned to go to Pompeii one day but "celebrated" (our anniversary) a bit too much the night before and ended up missing our bus the next morning! :eek:

You know you're addicted to SD when.... You just KNEW you couldn't wait until 2013 to take your next SD cruise, so you BOOKED another this year so you could be on board to celebrate your CC/SD friends' 25th anniversary with them in person!! :D

And since you've already finished the process of selling your home I'll make you a deal...

We are your friends! We are in the Galapagos now (was it Jim Avery who posted that he cheated on SD for the turtles?) DH is only allowed to say " you know, we could be on SD," three times a day.

LOL.... I was thinking JIM (Avery) would take care of both charters since we're still in escrow but he's already SOLD his house! :D

Actually, we just sold the one in FL and have 2 SDs booked!:eek::D What better way to spend that pesky house money?:D that's addicted.

LOL - yes, well the REAL addiction would be to sell your house so you could charter SD1 AND SD2 just for yourself, DH (or DW), and maybe a few of your closest CC friends :D until the money runs out!! :eek:

When you're selling your house but all you can think about is planning your next SD trip! ;)

When you start thinking you might still be able to squeeze in another SD cruise before 2013 because that is just TOO long too wait! :D

We feel the same about transport. I think I saw the info on the SD blog. Or maybe an email from Bob Lepisto. Know I saw it somewhere.

latest email says new itineraries in costa rica, through the panama canal, nicaragua, and panama. To be open for booking within 7 days.:d

Costa Rica would be a first for us, so we'd be very interested in this new route.

Like zqvol, I also heard it mentioned as a possible cruise destination on our last SD cruise (this past January).

Vandrefalk's mention of linking it with the Panama Canal would really be icing on the cake.... though no mention of that on SD's FB page -- at least not yet! ;)

In case you aren't on FB - or haven't read Sea Dream's page yet - there's a teaser post that says there are two words to think about today: Costa Rica.

Looks like they might be adding another new itinerary! :D

You know you're addicted to SD when: You have total empathy for a fellow passenger who posts in the same online forum - even though you have never personally met them!

DJ, take care of yourself... Sounds like you need some r&r and a little pampering, so maybe tell your doctor you'll heal a lot faster if he/she prescribes a nice, relaxing SD cruise! :D

The only thing getting me through all this rain is knowing we'll be on SD and basking in the sun soon! :D

You get excited when people you "know" from a message board (but have never actually met in real life) go on another SD cruise because you know you can vicariously hop aboard and travel right along with them. ;)

Not sure which Capt or crew members will be on board for this cruise. Would love to see Christophe again (hopefully he would still remember us since it's been awhile since we've been on SDII).

Maybe those of you who are taking an upcoming SDII cruise can do some investigative work and find out who will be on this Jan. '11 cruise?

Vandrefalk - had dinner with FredPebbles (aka: Sea Slug 1 & 2) this past week. They were here on vacation and we met them for dinner. So fun to meet up with people you've met from the ship --- but then YOU know all about that! ;)

My sister and husband will be on SD2 in Sept. to celebrate her 50th. That will be their first exposure to SD and will be a good test of the hereditary question...

LOL. Nice way to celebrate a 50th b-day!

Well the way I look at it is, if our families don't "get it" then they must have some sort of defective gene! :D
