Congrats Randy.

They run the casinos on the ships so they would have the information.
-
You can contact the Carnival's Ocean Player's Club.

Thanks for answering the Op's question. My daughter wants to bring her child on a cruise in February 2015. Her child will be 20 months old at that time. Will she able to take her child to Camp Carnival?

I love getting a hotdog with chili and nacho cheese sauce from the grill.

how can a state tax you on purchases made outside of the state?
It doesn't make sense.
Oops.....
feed the pig
Because you are bringing the product into the state.

They'll get you if you bought it on the ship and CCL turned over your S&S information like some have reported.
Not if you bought it onshore and don't give it to the ship personal when you board.

Not sure, but I believe only the Federal gov't can legally levy import taxes on goods from other countries or out of country Duty Free shops... I smell a lawsuit...
I wonder how Texas will catch you if you don't declare it.

Nice review, Lambie.

We loved watching the pier runners in Cozumel.

I only went to the Punchliner's Club once. to see Kim Harrison. She was great.

We will be on the Splendor end of January and were huge hockey fans.
Anyway, Islanders vs Rangers on 1/29 and we would like to watch it.
It will be broadcast on NBCS and TSN in the evening.
Does anyone know if the ships get those channels?
Carnival does not carry either of those channels.

Thanks for the info.
We begin our cruise 11/24 and have not booked any excursions!
Can you book a Victor Bodden tour there? Do they have booths just outside the port? We're really not beach or water people but do enjoy nature, animals and geology. So that excursion sounds great.
You will have to contact them before the cruise.
They do not take walk ups.

Lambie, I am loving your review. I am glad you are posting pictures of what I did not see on the cruise.

I tip 1-2 dollars depending how much we order.
-
Based on the time the Triumph docked I am guessing an 8pm departure.
For 5200 points I would probably expect about $75 casino cash and maybe something in the cabin. You do need to call a few weeks in advance though, and if you can get an email confirmation from the Players Club as to what comps they are giving you that helps with any misunderstanding once on the ship.
I was on a Premier Casino Cruise last week on the Magic and the comps were amazing. We had special cocktail parties, free drinks from the beginning, bottles of water in the cabin, a tray of pastries almost every evening in the cabin, beach towels, Prosecco (Zonin), 12 cookies from the Plaza Cafe, early embarkation.
I am waiting until I get the fall 2014 offers to book another cruise.
I enjoyed that Premier Casino Cruise also. -
I have been on 2 Halloween cruises.
There have been some elaborate costumes.

Everything you give your S & S card for.

Excuse me if these questions have been asked.
1. If you have played the slots on cruises are you automatically considered a member of the Player's Club.
2. If you book your cruises through a TA can you still get these offers or are they only for people who book through Carnival.
3. The code that is on your offer - along with the phone number - is it cross referenced to you only or is it a generic code that anyone who had it could call in and give that code and get the same deal.
I would be thrilled to get any kind of offer - heck I'd be happy to get $10 in casino cash - I play penny slots - (sometimes only 5 cents at a time if I can find them) so don't think I'll ever qualify :(
1) If you play slots you are automatically a Players Club member. You just put your Sign & Sail into the slot machine while you play.
2) We got the offers no matter who we book with.
3) The mailing will have the offer code. You can book with your TA.

They will containers of 2% milk and half and half. They will also have nondairy creamer packets.

It doesn't bother me that Carnival limited Platinum to 3 bags a cruise. On our longest cruise (9 day), we only sent out 1 bag which included 9 shirts, a pair of shorts, socks and underwear. The bag was fully packed.
Even on a 7 day cruise, one can still have their clothes laundered every other day. If people are so concerned about only 3 bags of laundry not being enough, then an easy solution is to bring more clothes.
Should Carnival then offer as a Platinum perk the increased baggage fees the passengers will have?
-
Those laundry bags tear too easily and you can't that many shirts and pants in them.
I find it interesting I can fit more into a hotel plastic laundry bag than Carnival's bigger paper laundry bag.
-
No, not usually. Its usually just laid on the conveyor belt and goes thru the xray machine. .. comes out the other end. They can tell by the shape of the bottle what it was .. lmao .. said go take your tequila over to the check in table.
PS here is my secret. Buy TWO bottles of whatever .. and when you go over to the check in table .. just pull one out. They wouldnt check. .. then you have one bottle left in your bag, you just take to your cabin.
That is a good idea.
Of course you can just walk past that table and go straight to the elevator until they catch you.

We never had any issues with the laundry. It always came back neatly folded in the bag.
