I grabbed it for $479. A glass of wine at dinner is about $12, a mimosa at brunch, plus two cocktails in the afternoon and then later at the club brings me to $68, so…definitely break even. And that’s a “light” day.

Any more than that and I will be belting out God Bless America at one of the On Air karaoke events LOL

Keep in mind that the package also includes non-alcoholic drinks (including bottled water), so you'll do even better. Here's hoping you can get a better price!

No problem. A “bit of a breakfast buffet” would not suffice for DH. However, extra drinks on top of our Diamond status allotment would. 😁

Still feeling so blessed to have spent 3 1/2 weeks on the Summit with the current crew. They are about to reach the end of their contracts and disperse.

Well, then, the seated breakfast (typically in one of the specialty restaurants each morning) may be up your DH's alley. It can be pretty nice (and there's plenty of it). It takes a little more time than the Windjammer, of course, but not a whole lot usually.  It's more than worth it if you're not in a huge hurry.

And, yes, that Summit crew were (are) outstanding! I only got 11 nights, but I'll treasure them!

Thanks, man - really nice of you to say. Appreciate the sentiment.

It doesn't look like I have much choice. I don't expect the e-mail to accomplish anything, in fact - I don't really even anticipate a response given how things have gone thus far. If I refuse to pay the balance and just tell them I don't like the protocols and cancel, all they'll do is issue me a FCC that I'll never use and I'm just out $1,000. I may just go, keep my drink package and brush my teeth with Rumple Minze, get snifters of Grand Marnier and throw them overboard, hand out Jager shots to kids. OK, maybe not that last one. 😂

    I like your spirit(s)! 🤣

We hope to be on board Liberty in January (knock on wood). I might have to throw a snifterful of Grand Marnier over the rail in your honor!

Can you explain this further?  “Suite Lounge/Concierge Club Access (Hors d’oeuvres and Cocktails Each Evening)”

I think we’ve “met” recently on the Celebrity board, especially about the Summit.

Hey there! I apologize for not noticing. I'm on my phone and didn't really even look at who posted. Sorry about that!

To expand on the above excellent explanation about the lounge, they also sometimes have a bit of breakfast buffet in there, but that might not be going on right now.

We have an S1 on the Beyond.  I don't see available rooms in that category currently.  Would we be eligible to have the sailing repriced?  tia

Yes. I repriced a sold out category room (maybe two, but I didn't even look at the other one that might have been sold out).

That ship has sailed (pun intended again.) She can no longer cruise unless something changes, which is unlikely. That's obviously not RCL's fault, but it was a major bummer when that 2020 cruise got canceled, because that was almost certainly our last chance. The rest of the family/group cashed out 18 months ago and moved on, I'm the only schmuck who said "Hey, I don't need the money to get by... Why not let them hold it? Sure, it's not much, but I'm sure everyone who does this right now is helping them weather the storm."  What a sap. It just makes all of this more irritating.

Dadgum, man. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I'm not sure what I'd do in your place, then, if that email doesn't produce results. I suppose I'd do a gut check and decide if I could manage to enjoy the cruise. If so, I expect I'd take the hit and go. If not, I'd just cut bait. No sense throwing good money and time after bad.

  7. Wow. You really have been shafted with a number of shafts in a number of places. You have all sorts of reasons to be ticked off.

I hope that email gets results. There's no way I'd be on hold on the phone again.

As for whether I would pay up if there is no good result, my free advice (unsolicited, I know, but it's worth every penny) is that "it's not about the money" supports a bunch of choices, including just taking the hit and enjoying one more cruise with your mother.

Is there a limit to how many times you can request a price adjustment? For a June 2022 Alaska cruise, I had called and received a couple hundred dollars back when the 20% sale first came out. Checking now, looks it has dropped another $100+ under this promotion. Not huge, but I am willing to sit on the phone for awhile to save some money! Just wasn't sure if I can go back again. Thanks in advance!

You can go back for more. Two of the three that I repriced today already have been repriced once.

Hi🙂 oh.....I will probably arrive closer to 1:45🙂........just so you know, there will be a Rapid Covid Test before anything else.

I expect we'll be there early, too. We get antsy.

That said, if we have lunch at LauderAle, I might be content to finish my beer.

  10. I failed to notice on recent sailings if they did.  If someone doesn't come on and confirm or refute whether they do offer take out, I'll try to remember to ask or notice when I'm on board in a little while.

The only thing I do see is "boarding" and it says 14.00  (2:00). But no options are given for any other times.

We have the same with a red asterisk next to it.  For the time being, I'm going to take that as I good sign that we'll be up for boarding at that time.  I don't know about you, but I do not intend to make it later.

So is this sale for new bookings only? I booked 2 cruises on Sunday and this appears to save us about $300 on each if we can get new rate. Has anyone tried to refare?

It is not only for new bookings.  Give them a call!

I just got off the phone and just got a little over $1500 knocked off 3 bookings (one was $300 in OBC because it sails next week).

  13. Howdy!

We're set to be aboard Whisper 12/2-12/17, which is a B2B from Fort Lauderdale to Bridgetown, Barbados and then back.  We have a couple questions about how embarkation day in Fort Lauderdale and the "in transit" day in Bridgetown will go.

    1. There's no boarding until 2PM.  Like so many, we're flying into FLL a day early.  We're fine with finding something to do between checking out of the hotel and checking in with the ship, but we're wondering about our options.  Is there a good place to cool one's heels at the terminal should we get antsy and wish to arrive at the terminal significantly before 2PM?

    2. We're required to be out of our suite by 8AM the day we are in Bridgetown.  We are "invited to enjoy breakfast or venture ashore."  There are only 3 excursions on offer at the moment, and none of them appeal to us.  We would've been alright with wandering around Bridgetown, but Barbados is one of those ports that requires ship-sponsored excursions.  Does anyone know what options there are to stay on board?  Is lunch, pool bar, spa, etc. open, or is the ship pretty much shut down from breakfast until 2 PM?

We're confident that we'll have a fine time and that SS still takes care of their guests, but these came up when we got the Covid protocol email this morning.

I apologize if this is answered somewhere else.  I poked around a little and couldn't find anything.

    Cheers, y'all, and Happy Sailing!

USD sadly. Do you think it’s a good deal?

I don't think that's such a hot deal.  Still, as we've mentioned, it's not a bad idea to go ahead and get it now because you can just go back and cancel-repurchase later if the price goes down.  What you don't want is to find out that you have to pay more than you could have today.

Get it today, and note your price per day (or total price).  Check back another day.

Take a look at this thread:

You'll see that pricing varies from day to day and ship to ship.
