  1. We had "hard sells" 2 weeks ago aboard Anthem of the seas. Not the regular promenade sales. I'm speaking about being interrupted every single night when dining in MDR to sell backstage tours, restaurante packages, drink packages and so on. Sometimes twice. This happened in windjammer too. This happened several times when we were quietly having our pizza in sorrentos. We were just strolling around and were interrupted to buy things constantly. We had at leats 10 messages per day regarding to sales and promotions. We had also lots of mesages in our phone regarding to sales. Never saw something like this in any cruise we sailed before :)

Regarding to the other OP's complains ...nothing to declare, we love RC, did the transatlantic aboard Liberty, 10 sea days in a row, 15 days of perfect time... Hope they never call us by the name when we arrive, it's a little bit...weird...

(btw: I was in Moroc, Egypt, Tunis...I can recognise hard sells :D just kidding ;) )

  2. From the website:

    • Casual: You’re on vacation – relax! Jeans, polos, sundresses and blouses are all the right amount of laid back. Please keep swimwear to the Pool Deck. Shorts are welcomed for breakfast and lunch.

BTW, my husband wears classic dark jeans, but he looks better and well dressed in classic shorts (not the beach or sport ones) than much people in suits! :D I believe that they refer to beach shorts when they say that are not allowed ;)

  3. The basketball had priority in our last anthem cruise...they had other games in cruise compass to last one hour, but after 20 minutes they stoped the games saying that there are guests that prefer basketball...This hapened to my husband, that was in a group of +20 guys playing soccer (that was schedulled in the cruise compass from 2 to 3 pm) and had to leave before 2:20 pm because other guyes were asking to play basketball...This happened twice. They will have a blast if they love basketball!

  4. I would like to know if dress shorts are allowed in the MDR. My husband wore them on the Anthem laser Year with no problem.

To be honest my husband looks better in dressy shorts than lots of people in long pants...but... :) We saw people wearing training suit. (True story). :D

  5. We had a reservation for solarium bistro dinner in Anthem, last week.It was free. Contrarely to all the reviews we read, it was the worst meal that we had during ....our cruise history. Really! And we love all the food aboard all the ships...i believe that we just were unlucky with the food an service ;) The buffet was mediterranean style (....living in the mediterranean I was not impressed, it is our daily food at home, but with less flavour in the Bistro), we, and the other people sitting around us, waited +- 45 for the entree (the restaurant was not full at all, maybe 20 people), my kebab was cold and with no flavour, the rice had no flavour too, like rice and water and nothing more and my husband's shrimp had the size of one apetizer dish...But, once again , this was our experience that is different from the others, the dinner was free, there are lots of other places to eat, plenty of variety so it was not a big problem :) During the day the bistro was fantastic!

  6. Me too ))) just trying to find somebody who were there to ask or there are puzzles, connected with English language (especially specific phrases). In that case for my Team it will be "epic fail" [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

We are big lovers of these kind of entertainment. ))

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

You are in my roll call group...we are portuguese, you are russian...it would be the perfect team!!!(y)

  7. The reason there is confusion is that it has all changed. There are no longer Cabanas. They now have Bungalows. They are located in South Beach (the Cabanas were not).

I cannot tell you anything other than what RCCL's website says or what others that have been there recently have stated.

There are cabanas (seaside Ponte cabanas), marked as "1" in the recent maps ;) But are diferent than the Bungallows, and are in almost oposite areas :)

  8. I have never understood using cash. Whether you pay the cruise line cash or pay your card off when you get home, it's the same thing. Personally for me, if it's the same, I'd rather have the extra points on my credit card for more free vacation.

We have to pay taxes when we pay with card (our home currency is euro) and we had problems in the past paying with cards because of bank permissions and sometimes our debit card don't work outside Europe. On the other hand, personally, we are not used to pay things with credit card, we like to pay the things imediately ;)

  9. Hello! Starting to pack for our next cruise! This time we will attend to the Top Tier Event...because it's our first TT Event I was seaching about the dress code and reading that shorts are not allowed... is it a fancy event? Can I use dressy shorts with nice sandals and a nice top, or do I have to use long pants or a dress? Searching for photos from previous events but can't find it...Maybe a silly question but we will fly to this cruise and stay 5 days in New York so we want to pack as light as possible...Thank You!
