  1. On my last cruise on the Fascination, I went up to the top deck by the putt putt. It was pretty dark by the front of the ship at night. It was beautiful.
Also very hard to walk because of the wind. But I stood up there for a while myself.

  2. Thanks everyone. Since we are coming in the day before Carnival is out. But we are using Carnival on our return trip from ship to airport.

Taxi sounds like the best idea

Why are you taking carnival shuttle? It's way more money and you have to wait for them to fill the whole bus. The taxi stand is just to the left near the street when you walk out of the terminal.

  3. Just got back on Sunday and we used taxi. For 6 of us with 5 suite cases, it was $29 each way from airport to ship. Taxi in san juan were plentiful and they are gov't regulated so fare's are set by zones. Both ways we got a ticket with the price of the trip written down. Just make sure you go to the taxi booth and not some guy calling you over. As we were debarking to go to airport, I heard someone get offered $20 pp. and our whole group was only $29.

  4. You could obviously get off the ship on the first cruise and not come back on by "missing the boat" But I doubt there is anyway you could plan to board back on a ship that is there for a port of call. The only Caribbean islands that I know of that are also an embarkation point are Barbados and San Juan. I dont see anyway you get back to mainland US via your proposed method. "Miss the boat" and fly home, thats your only option.

  5. I have no good advice. Just whatever you feel comfortable paying. We are sailing out of San Juan in 2 weeks and the airfare in January was 400 RT, now its 400 just to get home. Unfortunately, I relented to someone else to wait for it to come down and I didn't get in on that "cheap" airfare. I found the going down at 171 in April sometime (which was cheaper than in January) but return has been doing nothing but going up. I finally bit the bullet at 278. Which is good because I just looked today and its 399. Now granted, If I was willing to fly at 2AM I could get good prices, but I am not doing that with kids.

One thing to note, if you use captain kirks website, they will price protect on the exact same route as long as seats are available.

  6. I like to select the earliest possible because I like to get there as early as possible. But I am beginning to re-think that as on my 5/5 Glory cruise, they were not following the check in time procedure. People were still getting off the boat at 1130 and the terminal was packed and a mess.

  7. Thank you! Any idea how much a refill was?

Dont know for sure because we bought the cup as a gift for our daughter who likes to take our cups and then not clean them so... she can do that with hers instead. So we only used this cup the first time but I think a refill for it is just the cost of a large cup.

  8. If anyone can help with the Triumph email, we are wanting to ensure that we have anytime dining, direct email to the maitre d would be great. Anything helps though. I appreciate all your time and help

Cant your just look at your booking on Carnival's website and confirm your dining time?
