  1. Looking at the deck plan it looks like a large casino divided by the forward elevators. The port side looks like it has more slots and the starboard more tables if the diagram is correct. Which side is the nonsmoking? There is also another area marked casino in front of the mid elevator. Can anyone clarify? Thanks!

  2. I’m on the cruise with you. I’m a beef eater and also enjoyed the filet but the other steak entrees in Luminae were weirdly cut. Both the ribeye and NY drip were thick squares that neither looked like or tasted the way they should. The sirloin was two thick rectangular pieces. Again didn’t look or taste like sirloin. The entrees come with maybe a teaspoon of a starch and a piece of a vegetable. I did learn you can request mashed or a baked potato. We had dinner in Blu one night and their ribeye looked and tasted normal. We have the steakhouse later this week and are looking forward to a good steak!

  3. I typically only get about 3000 points on a 7-8 day cruise. Get offers everyday. Last few months only free interior. For years got oceanview offers every day and last year got balcony offers for most ships. Could only take advantage of one and am on the Mardi Gras in May in an extended balcony on the hump for free(of course port fees, taxes and gratuities.) Only ever get free drinks in the casino while playing, never drinks on us anywhere. I remember sitting next to someone towards the end of the cruise and looking over and she had 30,000 points while I had yet to make 3000. She probably never leaves the casino. She said she had a free suite, free steak house, several bottles of wine. $1000 free play and $500 on board credit. Of course nothing is really free!

  4. We are doing this next month. Nothing really different that I know about on board. There are wine excursions in the ports. Adelaide has some expensive through Celebrity but our Roll Call has two different private wine tours. Other ports have wine with other activities. If I remember I will come back and let you know if there is anything wine related on board besides the usual wine tasting.

  5. We had an aft suite in Alaska on both Holland and Princess and an aft balcony on Celebrity. At the glaciers the captain will slowly rotate the ship so all balconies have a view. Watching the glacier get smaller and smaller as you are leaving from the aft is a special treat. Although I enjoyed having an ocean view room once in the front of the ship I wouldn’t want a balcony in the front of the ship. Way too windy.

  6. If anyone has been inside the Sydney Opera House is there an entrance that doesn’t require climbing up stairs? We plan to do a tour of the Opera House but looking at pictures it looks like there are many stairs to the entrance. Is that where the tours enter or is there a side door without stairs? Thanks!

  7. We are in a SS in March on the Edge and having two bad knees I’m hoping the toilet is chair height not the old low toilet. Is there anyone currently or recently on the Edge in a regular SS that can answer this. Hoping that if it is a squatty potty that there’s at least a bar to pull up on. Thanks!
