  1. I believe it was $25 or$28 for 3 squares $38 6 squares pus a extra 3 for the last game, $48 for nine squares per game plus the extra sheet for the last game and a bingo marker. There was a more expensive one that it included a bingo Tshirt. You could also buy the extra 3 square sheet for the last game for $10. There were three games per session.

The games were a little misleading like listing it as $5000 bingo. Only $5000 if you get bingo in so many numbers.

  2. My first cruise post Covid was on Carnival. This was with the old menus. All the MDR food was very good. Always served at the correct temperature. The deli, pizza, Guys burgers, etc were delicious. The breakfast and lunch buffets had a great selection. The dinner buffet did not have as good a selection.

I’m platinum on Carnival and Princess and diamond on RC, and elite on Celebrity. I’ve also done one cruise on Hal, NCL and Disney. They all have some good dishes/venues but for the most part I think Carnival has the most varied and tasty food in the MDR and the best pizza and burgers.

Some have said the Carnival menus look good but that doesn’t mean the quality is good. Most every dish I’ve had on Carnival has been good especially the beef dishes. I’m going on a 21 day BTB on the Edge and am looking at the new Celebrity menus and I’m not thrilled. I feel like asking “where’s the beef” like those old Wendy’s commercials.

This will be our first cruise in the Retreat, although in a lowly SS. With the food selection and quality decreasing, loss of the butter, cookie gate, etc, my excitement about this cruise is waning.

  3. The Governor is now encouraging travel to the unaffected areas of Maui. They need the tourism dollars. West Maui is off limits until October 17th. I’m assuming ships that dock on the other side of the island will be back to visiting soon. At least the cruisers spend money but don’t take up valuable hotel rooms needed for displaced locals.

  4. Yes, I was surprised they didn’t charge me the several hundred increase in price since it was under 3 hours difference. I live in Pinehurst which is 1 1/2 hours from Raliegh/Durham airport and 2 hours from Charlotte.

At least my flight to LA was changed from 7 to 7:55 so I don’t have to leave for the airport till 4:30am.

  5. Thanks all. Was not happy when Delta changed my flight from 1:20 to 10:30.
No other direct flight. For the same price only saw the 11:55 but called and got switched to a 12:30 with an over 2 hour connection In Atlanta. Not happy with arrival at MN since we live 1 1/2 from the airport. Appreciate all the advice!

  6. My flight was changed from 1:20 to 10:30 which I know is too early. There’s no other direct but there is one with one stop at 11:55. Will probably get a cab as that will be the quickest yet most expensive.

Hoping to get off the ship by 9 and to the airport by 10. It is a Sunday so hopefully no accidents. To use the ship bus your flight has to be 12 or later.

Wondering what others experiences are disembarking at Long Beach and getting to LAX for a flight before noon.
