As one is a public transport enthusiast and/or aficionado, seeking a great beach stay. Know one will be pleased to note Catherine’s Cafe, (far better than VC), can be reached by a local bus. Book one’s day/lunch in advance.
I notice that you steer everyone away from the beach they are asking about, and direct them to Catherine's. What is your connection with Catherine's? Are you an owner, or friend of an owner?

Hi, we are interested in Galleon beach for some R&R, and maybe check out the rum distillery. Is there a way to take the bus to that beach? Is the beach decent? What facilities are there?
Last year we took the bus to Nelson's , it was clean and cheap. And now we know where to catch it!

The bus doesn't take credit card. In fact, the bus ride is just EC 2.25 equivalent to US $1
Now, be ready to be the only non-local in the bus.
Does the bus take US dollars?

We were going to take the bus also. But there was a tour person at the very end of the port walk, right at the street. Offered us a mini bus to Eagle Beach, $10 each, round trip. Let them know what time to return to pick you up.

I am also interested in any replies to this post......
I Googled transportation from these locations, and there are shuttles for about a hundred bucks PP.
Hoping someone has some recommendations for same?

We just got back from a week in Curacao, but we had a car. We have taken the bus in Curacao, but we go to a beach near Mambo. I'm not sure where Blue Bay is but here is a link to the bus routes in Curacao
Thanks, looks like we could get there, but Mambo might be easier. This helps with both!

Is it possble to get to Blue Bay using the public bus?

Their FAQ says all non alcoholic drinks are included in the package.

Also have to take into account if you want any of the coffees from Cafe Bacio and waters etc. With AI that includes the grats which is 17-20ish depending on room it works out well for many. I get a lot of coffees and teas from the cafe do not have to worry about liking or not liking a drink. I agree does not work out for everyone but for me its a no brainer, since I do need the internet to track work emails also at times.
Good point, I always forget the coffee angle, since I don't partake......

You would be better off with a Classic Drinks package if you want a drink more than once or twice a day. I don't know what dinner package you speak of, but I would go for the drink package over a dining package. The food in the buffet and MDR is quite good. Also with the drinks package you get coffees and sodas as well as alcohol. And as mentioned above, you are allowed to bring on boarding day 2 bottles of wine for each adult in a cabin. This should be in your carry on luggage.
Well,, the drink package is about $82, so if the drinks are $14 each, you'd need to have 6 or so a day to break even on the drink package. I'm trying to choose between just the package or not myself. The 2 bottles of wine each will cover our sea days pretty much....

I sail on the Edge on 4/7. No menus are showing in my app, although the “Menus subject to change” statement is front and center in the description for each restaurant. 🙃
I have the same issues. When I first download the app, the menues showed for a week or so. Then disappeared.

Today we finally found a port, St. Kitts and Nevis. We were forced to wind our way through all these shops on the way back from our excursion. Due to this exteme pressure I had to purchase wife a few sparkly t-shirts, a cover up and a magnet.
The sun was high and no sun hats or umbrellas were provided. 😡
When we got back to the ship we endured a French themed buffet with Beef Bourgogne and Chicken St Jaque. What was really bad was they had all these damn French pastries and Brulee's. How am I supposed to keep my weight down when theynkeep throwing food like this at me.
Oh, and this dolphin kept dragging me all.over the place.
At least you got to drive!

I checked a 2024 sailing in the app and see the same information. Maybe delete and then reinstall the app.
Tried that, no luck. I wonder if it's because I have a cruise booked? I'm pretty sure the menus showed up when I first installed the app, though.

Have you checked the app? Dining information should be in there.
The app doesn't have hours, and breaks down the MDR vs all others. But does not specify if there are lunch hours or different sea day hours.
Or maybe I'm just not smart enough to see it.

Hi, first timers on Celebrity, looking forward to our veranda cabin on the Edge. Are there any other non specialty options for lunch on embarkation day? We enjoy buffets, but they are usually so busy the first day.
Also, what are the non specialty breakfast/lunch options for the other days? Is there a MDR open?
Are there more choices on sea days?
Thanks!

Celebrity Cruises® guests are expected to be responsible for their actions at all times, including during transfers to and from ships, inside terminals, while onboard, at our ports of call, during shore excursions and at our private destinations. Consuming alcohol to excess impairs one's judgment and reduces one's ability to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations. Guests who choose to consume alcohol must do so responsibly. The ship's staff may refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to any guest who does not consume alcohol responsibly, including those who have purchased an all-inclusive beverage package. Ship's personnel may request verification of a guest's age to verify they are of age to consume alcohol pursuant to this policy. Any guest that violates this alcohol policy will be considered for disciplinary action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of this Guest Conduct Policy, and may lose their privileges to use areas or facilities of the ship.
Guests are only permitted to bring alcohol onboard under the following circumstances
1.) Embarkation day when each guest is permitted to bring onboard with them up to two (2) bottles of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package. Security may inspect containers (including water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, canteens, etc.) at any time and will dispose of alcohol concealed in such container.
2.) Alcoholic beverages that are purchased from onboard shops or in ports of call (which must be presented to security upon re-boarding), will be secured by ship's personnel. Alcohol secured by ship's personnel will be returned to guests just prior to the conclusion of their cruise vacation.
For the two allowed wine bottles per person:. Do they need to be in your carry on, or is checked baggage ok?

Just received a notice from ncl that they are canceling the December 2022 cruise to Australia we had booked.
They are canceling all spirit cruises from April to December of 2022.
Just so no one is misled by this post, the second paragraph of this post is incorrect information.
We just booked a Nov 2022 cruise a couple of days ago direct with NCL.
NOT all cruises have been cancelled for this ship during that timeframe.

On a 14 day cruise, would they offer two 50% laundry bag days, or just one?
