The 1 page flyer I just looked at regarding landmark sale stated 10 % deposit is refundable. Guess we wait for the 18th for confirmation.
The flyer I downloaded today did say updated in my list of uploads. As you said, I guess we will see.

Just noticed this. I don't remember seeing this disclaimer previously:
Deposit of 10% of cruise fare per guest for bookings made under the Landmark Sale is non-refundable

Was just on the Grand to Alaska this month. Our mini on Emerald deck had them. Family in an inside on Emerald deck had two mismatched old lamps with no usb. Family in an inside on Plaza deck had new lamps with usb. Friends in a balcony on Baja deck did not have them. Seems that not all cabins have been updated. For instance, our mini had the old sofa, a mini on Dolphin deck had the new sofa.

Are the prices quoted above before the 18% gratuity?

I would certainly ask on embarkation day at the kids club. All they can say is no. Also maybe if the ages for the 3 - 7 group is more 6 and 7 year olds they might do some 'older' activities.

Think a little research is in order.. Bombay Sapphire is an average tasting Gin running around $20 a 5th at Total Wine.
St. George Terroir is one of the better tasting California Gin's and costs around $28 a 5th at Total Wine.
I suggest you do a taste test yourself... And no it is not a cheap Princess brand..
Go here for more info.. http://www.stgeorgespirits.com/spirits/gins/st-george-terroir-gin/
Thanks for the information on the Gin. I was also curious about the new recipe that has Bitters in the Chairman (post #4)

A Chairman of the Board "should" be made using the following recipe:
Chairman of the Board
3 parts Grey Goose Vodka
3 parts Bombay Sapphire Gin
1 part Cointreau
Chilled over ice and strained I like mine with a twist. I think olives ruin this drink.A drink made with inferior ingredients is an inferior drink. That's one reason I often drink straight liquor. I get what I ordered.
Yes, this is the Chairman we've had as a pre dinner drink on our Princess cruises. (We don't drink mixed drinks with syrup, sugar, juice, cola, etc.) I'll be sure to ask what the ingredients are now before I order a drink.

Did I understand correctl, no dinner in the main dining room on port days? I don’t remember that from all our cruises. Is that new?
No lunch in the main dining room on port days.

Hmmm....the Grand is returning today from dry dock where they started the Medallion ready wiring including the screen where the mailbox used to be located. We will be traveling with family on our next cruise on the Grand so will make myself one of those do it yourself mailboxes for notes that they would usually leave in the wall mailbox. Our grandson left us a couple of his toy dinosaurs in our mailbox on our last family cruise. 😃

I doubt many passengers complained about having a second chair in the cabin, but a number do not use it and Princess may have noticed this.
Just curious - How would Princess notice whether or not, or how much, a passenger used the chair?

On all of our cruises on the Grand from pier 27, we've always backed in with the bow facing the bay.

Note Pacific Princess is in Alaska. I have no clue why they pulled her from Europe.
It would make more sense if she was doing a unique itinerary but it doesn't appear to be so.
Thank you for the information. I was hoping the Pacific Princess would do a 14 day like we did years ago on the old Royal Princess. Ports like Kodiak and Seward were in the itinerary.

I have never owned a cocktail dress or evening gown. I do wear black slacks with a black sparkly top and black blazer/jacket. I used to wear black heels with the slacks, but my knees have dictated that I wear black flats instead. Hubby has a black suit but the jacket usually ends up over the back of his chair.

I had 6 pm up until yesterday and have a printed travel summary stating same. But just looked and it now says 5 pm. So you might want to check your booking summary.
Sounds just like what I saw today for my next cruise. I also have the printed travel summary that says 6:00 requested, 6:00 confirmed. Now when I look at the same travel summary on Princess it says 5:00 requested, 5:00 confirmed.

No, I had an issue and called them and got it straightened out. The voyage isn't listed as bookable and was listed as sold out (not sure how a coastal repo voyage in over 1.5 years is sold out) to some princess agents. I went up the chain of command a bit and got my old cabin category back at the price I was originally booked under. A pretty good deal for 324 per person plus 95 in port fees.
Nice!

Strange, now the grand sailing isnt shown anymore and I thought I saw a blip indicating that the Star will do a 4 day sailing LA to Vancouver with a stop in Victoria instead of a 3 day sailing LA to Vancouver in May of 2019. Sounds like theres a lot of adjusting going on at Princess corporate.
I also noticed that the Island appears to be heading east for the summer of 2020 and will not be in Alaska. With the reduction a perhaps all the original grand class ships, it seems like they are downsizing a bit in Alaska. I know next year the total number of berths and departures is going down from Seattle.

So did you receive another email rescinding the offer to rebook the May 5th 2020 coastal on the Grand?
-
Looks like Princess is still in the process of moving ships around. At least, when I checked for future cruises out of San Francisco this morning, the Grand is there doing the coastal to Vancouver on May 5th 2020. There are no longer any cruises out of Los Angeles on the Grand.

I knew that the OBC was only for the first two people in a cabin, but our TA was told today that a third person can’t even use an FCD for a cruise deposit. We had bought one on our cruise in July for our 5 year old, thinking hey why not, it’s just money towards his next cruise. Oh well. Buyer beware I guess. In two years we’ll get a refund.

I had no idea that an FCD can't be used for deposit/obc for the 3rd/4th person in a cabin. I've been cruising with Princess (over 30 cruises) and reading Cruise Critic for many years. I guess there is always something new to learn. It sounds as if your travel agent was surprised as well. Is the travel agent familiar with booking Princess cruises?

I would tend to agree - Tracy Arm is quite nice. IF you can get that close to Sawyer of course ;)
This was the first time we even came close to Sawyer glacier....after three previous cruises with Tracy Arm in the itinerary. It was great to see it up close.

I wonder when the Sun, the Sea, and the Grand will be gone. They all had their inaugural cruises in the 90's before the Golden and the Star which have had their departures announced already.
-
Since San Francisco is our 'home' port, we have sailed the Grand many times. I wondered about that Coastal that ended in Vancouver. Thought maybe that meant we would get a different ship for San Francisco.

Hopefully Princess has learned ( at least from most CC posters )
1) No Share
2) No Princess Live
3) No La Mer
4) BRING BACK CROONERS:cocktail:
5) A 'true' aft adult pool
6) a full promenade deck?
7) Craft Beer Garden:beer-mug:
what else?
