We are planning to fly into Bologna as well. Then take the monorail or taxi to the Bologna train station and from there a train to Ravenna. We will take a shuttle from Ravenna to the cruise port.

Thank you so much! That's a great view and lets us know what to expect. We were late to the party - so only guarantee cabins were left. Interestingly enough, of the four couples that booked, only one has been assigned a cabin thus far and it is this one. We are still a few months away from cruise date though.

surfnsun - this might be a long shot, but do you have any idea how cabin 2152 is on this ship? Friends have been assigned this cabin and from what I can find online, it looks like this might be next to where the pilot boat comes in? So perhaps a bit noisy in the morning?

Thanks for the wonderful review. It was great fun following along. We too had an early morning flight from Venice on our trip years ago. Vaparettos were on strike, and we hadn't made plans for an arranged pickup. My husband decided it might be best if we walked ...two kids, bags in hand, we walked the entire distance at 3.30am in the morning. Very quiet, so different from the day time! Lots of little bridges and even the little one (my 6 yr old) carried his own bag up and down the bridges. Both kids remember that morning walk even today.

Great review and very helpful for those of us on a similar itinerary in a few months. Can I ask a quick question on entertainment? What kind of shows were there and what were the timings? On NCL, typically, the main show was done twice in one evening and you had a choice of attending the early or the late show and could schedule dinner around that if you wished. Am making dinner reservations and wanted to figure out if there was a show we shouldn't miss out on!

Love the trip report, especially all the details. I know this is an expensive cruise - been on my bucket list. Are all the excursion options you mentioned included as part of the cruise or is all that additional? Trying to figure out how much to budget for this cruise 🙂

Fantastic live report! In Kotor, did you try to go up to the Fortress? Or take the ladder (stairs) up? I've heard the view is fantastic from there, but that even the shortest part of the hike is over a 1000 steps!

We have the basic wifi package included in our cruise. Does this mean that both of us in the cabin can login on one device each? Or is it just one device per cabin at a time?
