Well some people enjoy a hard pull.
:D;);p

There a lot of bad reviews on the Sunshine.
Yes there are. I sailed her in June and was over all pleased with the ship. We did sail into Puerto Rico and GT late, I think we docked at 3 in GT. But we made the best of it.

Although my family has not utilized the services, I have seen numerous jet ski excursions offered in Nassau's terminal area. I'm not certain about Freeport.

This is a good idea if you can't find one through Carnival or another shopping avenue.
I would do it, ;p but I don't know when I'll be able to take another week off work. Already have one scheduled for December. Too bad, too - I could also have a drink of the day on your behalf.
Hi dm,
That would have been so kind of you to have a drink for me on a cruise on which I sent you! I knew you were a kind individual from the very first post!.... :D;)

I'll be on the Sunshine next month. Email me if you want to chat about coordinating something. My user name @yahoo.com
Will do Nicole. Thanks!

Are frozen cocktails included? I like frozen strawberry daiquiris or margaritas. Are all drinks at Alchemy included? How about Blue Iguana? I would prefer fruity, froo, froo drinks! Thanks.
Yes, and I HIGHLY recommend trying drinks from the Alchemy Bar.

I tried Amazon, buy not ebay. I'll try that next. I never thought of going on a roll call. Thanks to you both, great ideas!

Thanks dmdiver, great idea. When are you available to go?? :D;)
I never thought of calling customer service, perhaps I'll do that.
Thanks for the idea!

On our 8 day Sunshine cruise, my 3 (ages 15, 14, and 13) spent about $200 each, which included some shakes and frozen drinks, arcade play, goodies from Cherry on Top, and souvenirs from the Fun Shops.

I'm hoping someone can help. I purchase a white coffee mug (the ones with the name and picture of the ship on the mug) from the fun shops on each cruise I sail. My last cruise on the Sunshine was no different, but it broke in transit on my way home from the cruise. Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase another one? (Except, of course, the fun shop on the Sunshine... :D )

Another slightly different way of looking at it is not how many drinks a day you will drink, but how many drinks you are likely to drink for the duration of your cruise. Although 5 mixed drinks per day is about the "breakeven" point, if you have 7 in one day and 3 the next it's the same result. We just sailed Sunshine in June on an 8 day itinerary. I tended to drink far more on sea days than port days, but overall, by week's end, it was well worth it for me.

Or, if you're in NYC, they were just very early. Sunshine's first N.Y. cruise departs tomorrow. I believe she's currently sailing empty from Norfolk.
Correct. I'm boarding her this AM....:D

Just an fyi, I emailed the maitre d' and he responded within 24 hours. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least!!:D

Thank you!!

Does anyone have the current email address for the Maître D on the Sunshine? Your help is greatly appreciated!

I often partake of a Dirty Banana. I only drink them on cruise ships (ditto for pina colada).

To me, tipping is a personal thing. Some do, some don't. I don't think you will be treated poorly if you don't tip extra. That said, when I get the Cheers package, I always tip a dollar or 2 in cash on each beer/drink I order (except on the rare occasion when I don't have cash on me). I personally feel the service and attention I receive on the ship is exceptional (in most instances) and I like to recognize that service with a little cash incentive.

I'm sailing in June out of New York which has the same Cheers restriction as Galveston. I purchased the Cheers package and it did not charge me for the first day we embark in New York.

The Ecstacy did not have a hair dryer in our cabin. I asked the room Steward and he happily brought me one, although I do believe he said supplies are limited.

Ok, great. Thanks!!!

I'm sailing the Sunshine in a few weeks. Can anyone tell me if JiJi or Havana serve lunch? Your help is appreciated!

Is the Laundry Machines high efficiency or regular machines? What kind of detergent does it take?
I have not sailed every ship, but the ones I've sailed have standard "household type" washers and dryers. I believe all that's sold in the detergent vending machines is powdered detergent, but I could be mistaken. I certainly think liquid could be used as well.

Thanks for the great pictures!

I believe typically you get an onboard credit to use on your next cruise.
Do I need a S&S account?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Pictures, "gold by the inch" (and such other offerings, specialty dining venues......
As already stated, they will require some form of "backup payment" to your s&s account; cash or card...
