Any idea on exactly how one enters and exits the lot? Assuming we have a pre-paid booking do they use QR scanners at the entrance?  Is it possible to just drive up without a reservation?

That's a great question. There isn't a QR code on the parking voucher. I guess they could send one closer to the use date, but as of now there is only info about the parking timeframe and the license number of the car.

I agree, Google isn't much help, as there are different date stamps on the various views of the lot at 93 Fargo, between Street View and the satellite overhead view.  None of them are recent enough to show the summer 2024 Cruise parking set up.  When I enter 93 Fargo in the search box it says the lot is at the location of the little red teardrop.  BTW, how did you get such a great rate for 17 days? The asking price for our 7 day trip leaving next Sunday is $220

Thanks for this. Street level maps don't have anything that is marked as the cruise parking.

Well, geez . . . I looked up my receipt, it appears that when I booked they had it as a 7 day cruise and that's how it was booked. Since it was automatic on their site, I didn't pay enough attention. I went back in  and now with service fee it's over $500. I guess it was too good to be true! Oh, bother!!

I had also heard about this. According to our good friend Google, there are actually two lots side by side, C1 and C2, right alongside a lot belonging to the Harbor Patrol Police, all three being the closest lots to the terminal. Although I had read about being able to call a number to have someone "open up" lot C1, Google Maps/Street View show those two lots as being VERY small, maybe 70 or 80 cars each. Not sure they would work for parking cars from multiple cruise ships on a weekend. We're definitely going to start with the ABM Garage, with the main cruise terminal lot as a fallback

Hi! I am cruising for 17 days in August and I booked the "official" lot on Fargo for $210 plus $10.50 service fee. While I'd prefer to be closer, etc. I wanted to make sure that I didn't have any hassles the day of the cruise. My question is does anyone have a picture of this lot? Trying to verify which of the many lots this is using google earth and other street level tools has been difficult.

For planing purposes, Mr Trump will be in Copenhagen on an official state vista 2-3 September!

He has asked his staff to look into buying Greenland from Denmark.

Expect congestion in Copenhagen on these dates!

Is it safe to say he'll be gone by the 6th? My flight from the US gets in the morning of the 6th and I really don't want to have to deal with whatever a Trump visit would bring during my vacation.

We just switched from an obstructed ocean view cabin ( final payment is not until late September) to a balcony cabin. As part of the switch we had to give up original perks of $100 obc and free gratuities, but we got a balcony cabin for far LESS than the original price we paid for the original lower category room. So it was worth it to switch. We were worried it might impact our EZ Air reservation but it did not. Also we got extra obc from our future cruise credit since we switched to a balcony, so that was another little bonus.

I would think, however, if you merely wish to switch from cabin A to cabin B in same category and same price you would not be requires to give up perks.

Today I switched cabins in the same category and kept all of the perks I previously had. My cruise is less than 75 days out.

Not sure I am understanding your question.......

Security takes their own photo of you.

You cannot substitute any other photo for a security photo.

I was able to order my medallions today, 83 days out from my cruise. You take a security photo or copy in a photo that you already have. It's my understanding that security will only take a photo if when you get to the ship they feel the photo isn't good enough.

BTW, your ocean ready account doesn't have to be all green in order to order your medallion. I part of my account was still orange. It indicated that my personalizer wasn't complete, however, everything in my personalizer is complete, I'm just not within 75 days of the cruise.

I'm just happy I could order my without any difficulty since it seems that they are still working out some issues.

We did not book our flight using Princess EZ Air. I booked our flights independently...will we still be able to use the EZ Check Program? I have never heard of that - but would love to use it!

EZ check is different than EZ air. For $25 per person when your bags are taken the last night of the cruise you won't see them again until you get to your home airport. Also, the service includes checking you in for your flight.

The Salty Dog Gastropub introduces the "Ernesto", a uniquely crafted rib eye burger created exclusively for Princess by burger expert Chef Uchimura.

Ingredients: Fresh ground rib eye and short rib patty, grilled pork belly, cave aged gruyere, caramelized kimchi, beer battered jalapeno, charred onion aioli, smoked salt & pepper brioche bun

A fantastic addition to the offerings on deck. At $5 it is a bargain and if you add a beer, it is only another $3. When reading grilled pork belly, think ooh..bacon..😎

I had the Ernesto burger and it was messy but great! I felt it was worth the wait, and the $5. I simply got a drink from the bar and grabbed a seat at a table. I sipped my drink until they brought the burger to me.

How were you able to purchase the return business class flight for only $250?  That sounds like the bargain of the century!

The $250 business class flight is domestic so it's not that great of a deal. I was just illustrating the quirk in EZair that was being discussed. I booked business class home because the difference when adding in any baggage fees really negates the cost difference between economy and business class.

  10. I am flying to Copenhagen and at the end of the cruise flying domestic from New York. When I priced a round trip on EZair it was around $7,500 for business class. When I priced one way to Copenhagen business class was around $1250. The price directly from the airline was $8500. So, I booked EZair one way and purchased the flight home directly with the airline for $250 for business class.

  11. The upgrade fairy does exist!! We booked a guarantee for balcony cabin in category BF for a cruise this fall on the Regal. When our room was originally assigned a month or so ago we were given a deluxe balcony, category DB. We were pleased with the original assignment. Well, I received an upgrade notice that we were upgraded to a mini-suite, category MB. Such a pleasant surprise. Thank you, thank you upgrade fairy!!!

  12. I have been reading the review of the last couple of days on Cruise Critic of the ferry trip to the old Panama Canal locks and my husband and I have signed up for this adventure and now are not so sure it is a good idea. With that said, we are curious if we stay on the ship and then end up in Colon are we able to get off the ship in Colon and if so can we find anything of interest at this stop. If you have recently been on this Panama Canal cruise on the Caribbean Princess we would really appreciate any information you have to share. Thanking you in advance.....

I was on the Caribbean Princess Panama Canal cruise in October. Princess has been changing the Colon port to Cristobal. There is really nothing in this port. It is in an industrial area. A couple of tents are put up with local goods. I'm not sure what you are referring to as far as the ferry excursion, but if you are referring to the transit by boat, it is a long excursion. You get to go through the locks in a small boat which is interesting, but you will spend a lot of time waiting for larger ships to join your boat in the locks.

  13. did you grab it. thats my cruise date. just paid my TA today and got a price drop too!

i didnt know if mattered if cruise was PIF or not if you get upsells

We did. We upgraded from a category ME mini-suite to a mid-ship suite. My in-laws did as well.
