We have had it arrive as we walked up with our carry on bags at noon. We have had it arrive about 6 PM. I would guess the norm would be shortly after 2.  We are usually among the first to board.

Thanks for the nice review. We were also on this cruise with you. This was our second time on the Norwegian Fjord itinerary with Princess. We found the food in the dining room to be very good. We both eat seafood and seldom eat beef, so that would explain the difference of opinion. We took extended tours in all the ports through Princess this time. We were very pleased with the guides and organization.

We were on the July 21 seven day Norwegian Fjords cruise. We found the food in Vivaldi Dining Room to be excellent. The service and food was wonderful in Sabatini's. We did not choose the steakhouse since it was merely a curtained off section of Horizon Court. Wifi was excellent except when we were deep in the fjords. It was very slow or totally down while in the fjords. Quite understandable since satellites are at a low angle when that far north. I was a little disappointed by the entertainment in the Princess Theatre. The shows were not quite up to the standards we expect from Princess. We really enjoyed pianist Paul Burton in Crooners.

There should be no reservations for Anytime Dining. When they accept reservations for 6:30 or 7:00, the table stays empty from opening until the reservation time. Meanwhile others are waiting outside to be seated.

On our last venture through FLL we were pushing our luck for a 9:30 AM flight. We were the first in line for the walk off group which did not start until about 7:20. We got down to immigration and there was one agent. We hopped a cab and made it with just a little time to spare. Several passengers missed their earlier flights and were told that flights to Atlanta all day had 20 or more standbys already. I will not push our luck again!

Thanks for the great review. We have done this cruise three times and have it back up on our list again. We have always brought a power strip for charging.

A few years ago we stayed at the Best Western Dover Marina and were pleased. Very helpful staff. We are planning a cruise out of Dover in 2018 and plan to stay there.

I will probably get flamed for this, but just a reminder that the bandwidth on the ship is not great. Streaming will slow connection speed for everyone. I believe this is the main reason they discontinued the unlimited internet for elites years ago. People were streaming or downloading movies in their cabins.

On Island Princess back in March on a 15 day Panama Canal there were 203 Elite out of 2175 passengers. Turnaround on laundry was 36 to 48 hours.

This port can be mighty rough in bad weather. This photo was the ride back to the ship when weather kicked up after we were ashore. We were told that if this weather had been expected we never would have gone ashore.

I have only seen fireworks on one cruise. It was in Wales and they managed to set a couple of barns on fire a couple of miles from the dock during a July 4 display for us on Golden Princess as we pulled out of port.

It is right behind the syrup bottles!

We chose our recent full transit based on dates we were available and ended up on Island. If we had a choice we would have chosen Coral because of the additions that have been done to Island.

At the refill stations on the college campus where I work the bottle is placed on a sensor well below the dispenser nozzle. It does not touch the nozzle and will not function unless the bottle is seated on the sensor.. In Horizon Court people hold the bottle against the nozzle and press the button. The cross contamination happens touching the bottle to the nozzle.

Saw Encore on Island Princess in late March. Great show with a wonderful cast.

We have used National Express bus service from London to Southampton. You do then have to take a taxi down the hill to the port in Southampton. We did this especially for the return so that we could make an early flight home. You must reserve in advance. It is not an express and does make several stops, but seemed to be less expensive and got us to the airport much earlier than a Princess transfer.

I thought there were way more hits than misses. And the few things that weren't right, they made right. Except for the internet, that really was painful to use.

Strange, I found the internet to be the best from any of our cruises. Great signal in the cabin on our laptop. Used wifi to make quite a few phone calls. I even complemented the internet guru about how good the service was on this cruise.

I was also on the March 15 SFO to FLL cruise. Great experience and great service. The entertainment was very good, especially the string quartet. Had a great dinner at Sabatini's! I do miss being able to walk fully around the ship on Promenade Deck. I plan on doing a full review soon!

We loved the cabin on a recent cruise. It was very quiet and seemed bigger than a normal inside cabin. The organization was very good.

Somebody sure is dredging up a bunch of old threads today!

Since CCL owns the facilities in Grand Turk you can be assured they lost a ton of money by not docking. Such a decision is not taken lightly.
