I wanted to report a success story on the excursion guarantee.
I booked a 2 stop snorkel in Bonaire for next month through Carnival for me and my DS. Carnival charged $79.99 for me and $69.99 from DS. Found the same excursion on the company's website that Carnival contracts with (same boat and everything) for $44 and $22. Carnival approved the claim in under 24 hours. I'm getting $92.38 in onboard credit. New excursion price with the 110% difference is $40.40 for the adult and $17.20 for the child.
It pays to search the web and submit those forms!

Carnival has announced that boarding the Nov 16 Vista won't start until 1:00PM. The ship isn't supposed to dock until 8AM.
They have check-in times starting at 11:00am for that cruise . I have one. Can you link to where Carnival has "announced" that boarding will begin at 1:00? On the cruise documents it states boarding is 1:30pm to 5:00pm. My last cruise the docs said boarding was 12:30pm to 4:00pm but there was a 10:00am check in time available and people were on the ship by 11:00am. Since the 1st check-in time available for the Vista on the 16th is 11:00am it seems everything is pushed back 1 hour. I will get there at 11:00am (since that is my check in time) and I hope to be on the ship by noon. If not, no big deal.

The Nov 16 Vista has a 6PM sail away time instead of the usual 4PM. Carnival is saying boarding will start at 1PM for this cruise.
I was able to get an 11:00am check-in time for the Nov 16 Vista cruise yesterday. Not sure why the ship is leaving at 6 instead of 4, but it looks like it won't push boarding back to the afternoon. They do have check-in times that go until 5:00pm.

From what I understand, there is no age limit on the FH lounge. It's for families, so parents and kids can use it to relax, play, or eat. I assume there will be a wristband (or something similar) to gain access. While I understand your desire to all use it, I hope they only allow people actually booked in FH rooms to use the lounge or it will become overcrowded. A family booking multiple rooms can't put one person in a spa cabin and all access the reserved part of the spa or put one person in a Havana cabin and all have access to the Havana pool, so they shouldn't be able to with the Family Harbor area either.

There hasn't been MDR lunch on embarkation day in years. I think the Dream or Breeze did it for a short time, but then quit. The only time a true lunch is served in the MDR is on Journey cruises. The sea day brunch is served on sea days. It has a good enough menu that we've done it for breakfast and lunch on several occasions.

There won't be a fee as long as you're moving up not down, and as long as your not changing ships or weeks. Carnival will be more than happy to take your money for the difference to upgrade. It's easier for them to sell less expensive rooms last minute so you moving up helps them

She's wrong. Neither are "powdered eggs." I've worked in a large commercial kitchen that served eggs for breakfast. We used the same thing Carnival does. It's a large plastic bag with pre blended real eggs. The eggs can either be cooked in boiling water inside the bag and then mashed, or they can be scaled just like fresh cracked eggs. When these eggs are made in an omelet or scrabbled fresh, it's hard to tell the difference. The reason the buffet is so bad is because they've been allowed to sit for too long and become over coagulated and rubbery.

Our family is considering this cruise in a family harbor cabin. Our sons will be 10 & 7 at the time of sailing.

I don't see a place on the deck plan designated for the photo gallery. Did I miss it, or could this mean Carnival will go digital with photos?

Just got off the Ecstasy this morning. Joseph was our MD in the Windsong dining room (this is where all traditional time guests eat). This was my first time with Joseph. I don't mind the dining room antics, but I know why he does 4-5 day cruises. I think someone would snap if they had him for a whole week.

You had me until you used the word "heavier" when describing the ships tonnage. The tonnage of the ship and weight have nothing to do with each other.

The new price shows up in my documents. They don't refund money to you, but it shows up as onboard credit.
