No, you can sign up for one person for one device at a time. You can use on your phone, computer or iPad for example but only one device can be logged in when in use. No need for two people unless you both want to be connected at the same time.

Thank you so much. Do have to use NCL internet or can my wife use her jet pack with our verizon service?

I did it in Sept., but I did not use luggage assist.  I took my bags off with me and took a taxi to the airport.  No problems, and got to the airport about 9:30, stress free.

I was wondering what time you left the ship? Also did you have any trouble getting a taxi? I've got a 12:08 flight on a Saturday after a cruise.

  3. On May 4th (Saturday) our ship the NCL Bliss is due back at Pier 66 Cruise Terminal at 6:00am. The flight I'm looking at is 12:08pm (Seatac). The next flight is 5:30pm and hate waiting around the airport that long. My question is will I be able to make the 12:08pm flight if we carry our luggage off and catch a taxi? I'm hoping someone with Seattle travel experience can answer this question.

  4. We were in the Haven a few weeks ago. We booked all of our diner reservations 125 days before the cruise. You can book at 12:00am eastern time on that date. We had no problem booking dates and times we wanted.

While on the ship we heard that Bayamo by Ocean Blue was very good. We didn't have a reservation for the restaurant and it was booked up. We asked our Concierge if he could get us in and he got us a 7:00pm table.

Also, there was an excursion we wanted to do, however it was sold out. We checked with our Concierge and he booked us. Haven life is good!

  5. I was on the Escape last month. Le Bistro was much better than Cagney's. Had the ribeye at Cagney's and it was a very poor-quality cut of meat. Person in the table next to us had the same complaint.

Our surprise was Bayamo by Ocean Blue which was very good. I had the Crab Cake appetizer and Gumbo which was excellent. My entree was the Sea Bass with White Wine Butter Sauce (Yummy).

    Another ripple in the pond.

My TA messaged me today that she did not think that NCL would apply the discount as I was past the 120 day mark. As she is off until Monday, she suggested calling the agency's main number for assistance.

I did that, explained all; was put on hold for about 15 minutes while she called NCL - came back with a no go. She said NCL rep tried to enter it and the system would not allow it. That rep checked with someone else, confirming the "no".

For $591 I was not letting go easily, so I called NCL back. That rep confirmed it could be done, they have done it before, but it's more or less an exception.

Bottom line - NCL just credited my card.

    Victory!

Congratulations............I've found the 10% a nice chunk of change.

  7. I've used the Veterans Discount twice. Once on an Escape Haven Suite which ended September 17th and on a new sailing Bliss in April 2024. Saved $750 plus on both. There's an initial process you have to follow to get the credit. You sign on or open a veteran gov.id account to verify your military serivce. Very easy process. Then the 10% discount always shows up when planning or booking a crusise. I first used the Veterans discount about 6 to 8 months ago. Ncl also invites you to a very nice cocktail party for veterans which is done very well. Hope this helps?

    Hello fellow cruisers!

Looking at a cruise on the Norwegian Star that cruises out of Reykjavik, ending in NYC.  Curious if anybody has done a cruise of our Reykjavik before? Pros? Cons? Iceland is on my list of places to see, so I would like to fly in a few days early before the cruise.

    Thanks!

Are you aware that there is a cruise out of Reykjavik, ending in Boston. The ship is the Jade. It's one day shorter than the Star cruise. I'm currently thinking about a cruise out of Reykjavik. I'm not sure which ship would be better (Star or Jade)? Haven't been on either one. Hopefully someone had been on both ships and give us their opionion?

We recently cruised on the Joy through the Manhattan Cruise Terminal and had a transfer to LGA.  All airport transfers were scheduled for 9:00 disembarkation with Brown tags.  They actually called us early, closer to 8:30.  Once we collected our bags and exited the terminal we were directed toward buses that were clearly marked for JFK, LGA or EWR.  I remember seeing at least 2 buses for LGA and I'm not sure how many were heading to JFK although I remember seeing one.  There was a representative there crossing names off a list.  Our bus for LGA left first at about 9:30.  The JFK bus was still there but there were people boarding. I imagine the Escape disembarkation will be similar.  If you have a late flight in the afternoon or evening, NCL was offering a sightseeing excursion with drop off at the various airports if you had flights scheduled after 2:30.

Thank you so much for the information. We do have a late flight. We were looking at the sightseeing excursion. However, when we went to sign up for it last week it was sold out. Still kicking myself for procrastinating. We will be in the Haven and I'm hoping the concierge can find a spot for us.

The cruise line may offer transport to the airports but it is probably per person. As njhorseman stated there are a number of options.

We are also researching transportation to JFK after our cruise in September. Our NCL ship has transportation for $37.50 each person. They also have a 3 1/2 hour tour with drop off at JFK or LGA. Cost is $199 per person. Thinking about the latter option because our flight doesn't leave until 6:30pm.

I was looking at the walking route on Maps, and it looks like you have to cross over to the other side of the street at some point, up to Pier 90 and then back down to Pier 88.    Is that correct?   Or can you stay on the river side of the street all the way to Pier 88?

You walk out of the Ferry Terminal onto a side street that runs along the water. It's a straight shot to the Cruise Terminals. We walked on the sidewalk and side street (4 of us side by side). I didn't notice any cars parked on the street? May be no parking? Others might confirm that.

We're taking a cruise in September on the NCL Escape. Staying at the Residence Inn at Port Imperial Weehawken for the first time. In the past we stayed at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbour. Nice hotel and the Ferry loading dock is right across the street. Thought we'd try something different and the Port Imperial has a terminal and easier access to the ferry stop close to the 911 memorial.

the ferry goes to pier 11 but our cruise is pier 88     I am traveling with 5 kids    How much of a distance is that for walking

The Ferry Terminal from Port Imperial is Pier 79. I've walked it a couple of times with luggage to ship the ship in 10 to 15 minutes. Once in the rain and I'm 75.

When I upgraded my room the taxes and port fees did not change, so I assume the tax is not based on a percentage of the total price or NCL made a mistake and forgot to charge me an additional amount.  I originally had a club balcony, upgraded to Haven Courtyard, then Two Bedroom Villa and my taxes/port fees are exactly the same on all invoices.

Again, Thanks for the good information. We decided to just go ahead and upgrade to the Haven Penthouse Balcony Suite. There wasn't that many Haven Suites left, plus the cost difference between our bids and what we paid wasn't that big of a difference.

Always check the prices before bidding.

I am on the NCL Escape on Sept 10th. I was in a Haven Courtyard Balcony. Received bidding emails at around 110 days.  The bid to upgrade to a Two bedroom family villa started at $600/pp. I had no intention to bid but noticed today the two bedrooms was only $150/pp more than when I booked my cabin.  I called and upgraded for $360.

Good points.....I'm also on the same cruise. We are currently in a Club Balcony Mini Suite and have bids in for the Haven Courtyard and Forward Facing Suite. Still waiting....Does anyone know if taxes and insurance are added to the amount of the bid if accepted?
