  1. I'll be on the next 4-day Enchantment cruise...coming from chilly NYC....I can't wait! When do they make the determination to skip Coco Cay? I hope we make it there. Were the pools crowded? Was the solarium pool roof open most of the time?

I saw a review that mentioned that there were a lot of people smoking in non-smoking areas. Did you observe that as well?

    Thanks!

  2. When I click the above link I get......

Q: Does Royal Caribbean charge a corkage fee?

A: No beer or spirits may be brought aboard for consumption. Guests wishing to bring personal wine and champagne aboard may do so only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. When consumed in any public area, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of USD 25.00.

If a guest receives a bottle of wine that was purchased from the Gifts selection, no corkage fee will apply if the bottle is consumed in any public area. If a guest receives a bottle from an outside vendor and/or travel agent, and the bottle was not purchased through our Gifts selection, then a USD 25.00 corkage fee per bottle will apply if they wish to consume the wine in the dining room or any other public area. The fee will be applied to the guest's onboard account.

    Also this.....

Q:Can I bring liquor or non-alcoholic beverages (from home or from a port) onboard - Royal Caribbean International

A: Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor or non-alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Guests may bring personal wine and champagne onboard only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. When consumed in any public area, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of $25.00.

I guess this new policy still has to permeate the entire websites.

But more importantly, the SHIPS need to be informed.

You're being redirected to the UK site. Maybe they haven't updated all the sites yet.

  3. We were debating the same two cruises in Nov. and we decided on Enchantment for a few reasons. We won't have to take a day off of work to spend Friday night in a hotel. My folks live an hour from Port Canaveral, so we can spend Sunday with them before driving to the Port on Monday. I'm bummed that we won't get to experience Liberty. We were on Enchantment 5 years ago, and although it's been upgraded since, we know what we're getting. But it's just what we need for a little RnR!

  4. Never been charged a corkage fee including the bottles we bring on.

The wait team is more than obliging.

Thanks! I see that you were just on Enchantment. That's were I'll be in a month. I'm assuming you bought wine on board? Do you just bring the bottle to the MDR or have you also had a glass with you in other venues?

  5. Maybe the posting was referring to Gift and Gear alcohol?

"If a guest receives a bottle of wine that was purchased from Gift & Gear selection, no corkage fee will apply if the bottle is consumed in any public area."

If someone asks RC or experiences a corkage charge in the next month, please post it. I'm sailing in a month and I'd rather BYOW.
