I'm coordinating a family group cruise. When I called a TA they told me that you get more OBC by booking individually rather than a group. The costs of the rooms would only be about $5 less as a group. My question is should we look for another TA, book individually, or book as a group? Right now, our group is about 10 cabins.

St. Maarten: love the beach where the planes fly over, Belize: so many awesome excursions, Cozumel: beautiful, with many different activities to do.

I haven't been on in a while. I've been paying for braces instead of cruises. lol. But, I enjoyed reading Mach and PaulMedik's reviews. :)
I've become group leader of a cruise for a family reunion next year, so I'm back on the boards again. :D

The 2334/2335 cabins are the ones with the two big windows. And there might possibly be two beds on the floor since some show a double bed. These are my favorite 1A cabins. Way in the back and very quiet.
Look at my Destiny review for pictures of cabin 2335. There's a lot of room in this cabin.

Hi, I was just wondering how your cruise was and if you liked the room? Was the view good? And was it noisy?
I loved the view. It was a little noisy in the mornings, but it didn't bother me because I already up anyway. There's a link to my review in my signature. There are pictures of the room there. :)

I wish they offered HMC instead of Nassau on some of the 7-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries. I'd love to do HMC/St. Thomas/St. Maarten.

The island is much bigger than most people think. There is even a small 'town' on it.
Google Satellite view is nice, you can even see where the Ship is moored.

Thanks for all the info everyone! I just booked my first solo cruise and was really nervous about the room as everyone told me that it was very small. The pictures make it look pretty nice and the price was reasonable considering what they charge for single cruisers. Did any of you who stayed in this room notice a lot of noise coming from the stairwell next to it? How about the vibration?
I'll be staying in this room in a couple of weeks. I'll come back to let you know.

Hi I am booked on the Destiny in a 1a at the back on the main level room 2334 is that one with windows ?? I would love it if it were this is my first cruise and I am going solo !!
I'm pretty sure that you have one of the rooms that has the two picture windows. Enjoy! I'll be doing my solo in June. :)

I was talking about the 1A rooms at the stern - the large ones with 2 large windows. There are only 2 per ship and only on 8 ships. I have spent far too many hours trying to find any that are available, but no luck.
Are those of you who get these rooms using a TA or searching them yourself? I hope someone will answer me and not feel that helping me get one of these rooms is competition with you.

Congrats! You really can't beat the price:) I have that room too. What I thought was going to be my 1st solo cruise, may now turn into a cruise with my neighbor, which is OK since we've traveled together before. I'm thinking about doing the 4 day solo before the 5 day, but it depends on whether or not the prices go down.
The price was great for a solo person. I guess it's not officially an oceanview room, but it looks great from the pictures I've seen. I'm very happy!

I've led a group cruise before. You don't get an entire cabin free. You only get one passenger in the category of most cabins booked. In the past I didn't get reimbursed until several weeks after the cruise.
