Had my TA check with Azamara regarding using OBC for my shore excursions.
guess I’m going to wait until final payment. I’m just going to leave them in my cart. Don’t want to wait for a refund.

That is what I was told as well from an Azamara customer service representative.  The good news for us is that we now see coupons for OBC for the B2B and for the booking bonus.

@crusinbanjo is right, but I actually did board in Copenhagen a few weeks ago.  We wheeled our cases toward the tent but porters came racing out to assist. I had printed my luggage tags at home and attached them at the hotel, but the porter will assist if you haven’t done that.

You then board the ship and your photo is taken there, and credit card swiped. Then off to your stateroom to drop the carry-on, and off you go! Have a wonderful time.

Thanks, Mrs Banjo and I will be boarding the Dawn in Copenhagen in October…….  Getting excited already!

The Silversea website says that "Non-denominational services are held aboard ship on Sundays."  https://www.silversea.com/travel-informations/general-information.html

We will be onboard Whisper for two Sundays, and the included excursions begin at 8:00 am and 9:30 am respectively.  Does anyone know when the onboard services are scheduled?  [Otherwise we will skip the excursions and take a taxi to attend Mass followed by DIY sightseeing]

I don’t know when the services are scheduled, but I like your plan b.  Always interesting to attend Mass in a foreign country

In past SS cruises, we have received our luggage tags at the SS hotel before the cruise. Today we received an overnight package with our luggage tags for the 8-21-23 Nova cruise to our home address. I just thought I would share this.

Sounds like the return of one of the nicer perks of sailing with SS.  They always did this, until they stopped,  hoping this will stay and other amenities will return.

Recently cancelled a cruise and refund did not appear on cc. A phone call cleared up issue as they did not have correct cc info on file. Refund then quickly appeared.

Did you get the entire amount? Or did they keep a cancellation fee

I can't tell from the phrasing of the information whether the OP booked the cruises in January.

If so, the answer to the question posed is NO.

    BUT

If the cruises are in January next, and were booked less than 30 days ago, the answer is YES.

So to be clear, I booked both cruises in March of 2023. Sailing date is January 2024  I am assuming that since I have not hit the final payment date, and have paid only a deposit for each cruise the deposit would be fully refunded.

I have checked to be sure there is plenty of availability on both cruises, and with the difference in price, plus cash back from the TA I could also upgrade to a suite.

  8. I booked tw cruises to make them B2B cruises in January directly with Azamara.  Now, because of the OBC and website issues, I’m wondering.  Can I transfer the booking to a TA , or should I just cancel my reservations and rebook with a TA.

looking at one of the big online TA’s it would appear that I would get a much better deal, and then they can have the frustration of dealing with the back office.   I am still on a deposit, and final payment is not until September.  Any thoughts?  😊 Thanks.

Does it mention an OBC coupon but not an amount? That’s what shows on ours.

Our’s used to show that, now there is nothing to indicate any OBC, never mind the B2B credit that we have applied for twice, but have yet to see.  This is our first experience with Azamara, but quite honestly, if this were not a bucket list cruise, I would back out.  And, unless the on board experience blows us away, it will likely be the first & last Azamara cruise.

Below is the form we filled out even though we have a TA.    We just returned from being on 3 b2b in June/July 2023 (33 days).  The benefit was applied after I filled out the form earlier in the year.  After a week I did call Azamara and they had to  "link" all 3 different booking numbers before we received the $400 per leg extra of OBC.  Hope it works out.

Thanks, I filled out the request, again!

I am guessing that those $300 OBC on the invoice is for the booking OBC promotion.  The 2 $400 B2B credits would be listed separately.

As of right now, the web sight doesn’t show ANY OBC, never mind the B2B credit.  The only way I know about them is from the invoice I received when I booked the cruises.  I think I’ll need to call to clarify and get something from Azamara in writing to bring along to the ship.

  13. Mrs Banjo and I are booked on the first 2 segments of the world cruise.  Our invoices show $300 OBC for each segment.  The website does not show any OBC.  We have applied for the B2B credit, months ago, but have never gotten a response.   This is our first experience with Azamara, we are hoping the on board experience is better than the pre cruise website / comms mess that is currently ongoing

  14. Ours shows an OBC  coupon, but no amount and  no amount for the B2B bonus OBC either.  I have inquired by email, months ago, was assured all was corrected,  but nothing has changed.

Seems to be working now.  Maybe they “fixed it” overnight.

Were you all night fixing this, or just an early riser ? 🫠😆

Given that Blacklane doesn't actually operate ANY of the limo services provided, who would know.

Remember....all they are is a booking portal.  Nothing more, nothing less.

And as a booking portal, not likely to deviate service to accommodate an unexpected change.

FWIW:  They get about $300 one way from our house to the airport if booking direct.

Blacklane doesn’t offer service in my area, so we always book with the local limo service that we have used forever.  They are always available for us, never late, and reasonably priced.  They even diverted a car to New York City to pick us up when we missed a flight connection in Madrid and were rebooked to JFK instead of Boston.  Now that is what I call customer service.  I would bet Blacklane wouldn’t do that even if they operated in my area.

Interesting to know.  We are also early 50s and were wondering if we might be the youngest on a Silversea cruise, but guess you can never really tell.

Back in the 1990’s, Mrs Banjo and I were “ALWAYS” the youngest on SS cruises.  We were in our mid 30’s.  Now in our late 60’s we feel like we are the average age of SS cruisers.
