I was sitting on the Explorer last week, waiting for the show to begin, and listened to a lady behind me complaining because there were wrinkles in her pillowcases in her cabin! I couldn't believe it! Why can't people be thankful for what they have????

I just had surf. I just wanted to be on the web, and check email, and it was fine for that. I was on it a few times during the day, and then for an hour or two in the evening.
-
We were on the Sept 23 sailing, and had no problems using my iPad to check email, and surf the web. Once in a great while it would take a few seconds for something to load, but it was basically fast, and totally worth the cost.

We haven't cruised since the old days when you stood at the photo gallery searchimg through all the pictures. We will be on the Explorer next week. How do we find our pictures with the viewers?

Is Johnny Rockets open for lunch too, or just dinner? And is it open on just sea days or any days?
-
So if I have the surf package , will I be able to IMessage from that? Do I have to change any settings on my IPad?

Just booked the 4 hour trip with Viator 2 days ago. Have used that company often.

Ok, we aren't tech savvy, but we do have Ipads and like to check our email, surf the web, and IMessage our adult children if necessary. We will be on the Explorer in Sept. We will not be watching movies, doing Face time or anything like that. Any more current reports on Voom on the Explorer? If Surf won't work for our needs then we will want to upgrade Thank You!

Are Fisherman's Wharf and Inner Harbour within walking distance of the cruise ships? Also interested in Ogden Point Breakwater. Any advice on any of these would be much appreciated

If an excursion is sold out under the cruise planner, do they ever add more, and open them up onboard?

Was it easy to find them at SeaTac? When you got off the ship were they waiting for you?
Thanks for your help!

Trying to figure out what the easiest and quickest way is to get from Pier 91 to SeaTac after getting off Explorer for 2 people. I don't want to wait long after we get off the ship. Our flight back home is at 12:45 pm. I don't mind doing a shuttle if they are there waiting or will be there in a short time. Is it a hassle to get a taxi, or are the shuttles a better way to go?
Also, is Seattle Express or Already There Towncar service a better option for our arrival into SeaTac, to be transported to a downtown hotel?
Thank You!

Yes, we have never been on a ship with Dynamic Dining. I am not sure I understand it. The Classic was already gone when we booked. If someone could give us a simple explanation, that would be great!

Does RCCL offer the valet service in Seattle? If not, is self assist a faster way to to get to the airport? We are using a private transfer service.
-
We will be docked in San Francisco overnight. Are there still evening shows on the ship while in port?
-
We are considering doing the Muir Woods excursion with RCCL. I can't tell if they take us right from the ship and return us there also. Does anyone have any experience with this? I also would love feedback on trip. We live in NY and are suurounded by huge white pine trees. Will we still be in awe as most people say they are when they visit Muir Woods?

Hi All! We will be in San Fran off the Explorer this fall, and am debating about the Twilight City tour. RCCL offers a 3.5 hr excursion, but the Hop on/Off bus pass which we will also be purchasing, offers a 2 hour tour included with the 2 day bus pass. Would the RCCL excursion be better since it is longer, or should we just do the 2 hr free one offered by the Big Bus company. It is my husband's birthday that day, and would really like it to be special. I don't mind buying the RCCL twilight tour if it is nicer that the other one. Any advice with this would be much appreciated!

Can anyone tell me if I can take a power strip along to recharge camera batteries, phones, etc? I know extension cords are not allowed, but was hoping a power strip was. Also, are the hairdryers they provide attached inside a drawer, but where you can still see a mirror to dry your hair? I just have to know whether to pack my own! Thank you!

We have not ever been to this city and are trying to plan our days there. We are planning to do the 2 day Hop On, Hop Off Bus Tour that includes the Night Tour. Is that worth it if we have seen a lot of the major things during the day? Does that tour with Royal Caribbean drop us off back at the ship? Just don't want to have to be trying to find our way back to the shop in a city we aren't familiar with at 9:30 at night. Thanks

Trying to do My Time Dining reservations on the Explorer in Sept. Does anyone know what time the shows are. I don't want to miss those because I chose a conflicting dining time. And what time will the set dining times be? I know the show times are set according to the regular dining times. Thank you!

Thanks so much!

We have never ordered room service, but this will be a relaxing cruise for my DH and I, and we have decided to order room service of at least snacks or sandwiches when we come back from shore excursions. Does anyone have menus for Room Service on the Explorer?
Also, will the main dining room be open for breakfast and lunch every day?
Thanks!

We will be on the Explorer out of Pier 91. So you think we should do the market on the morning before our cruise? Then head back to the hotel for our luggage? and hopefully a cab to the pier?

Have never been to Seattle, but we are flying in a day early, and hope to be at a downtown hotel (not sure which one yet) by 2:30 or so, in time to check in. Then would like to try to go up the Space Needle, and take quick tour through Pikes Market. I am wondering if this is expecting too much of ourselves since we will be flying from the east coast early that day. The next morning about 11 we will have to board the ship. Does anyone have any recommendations the one or 2 things we must see in Seattle?
Also, there are so many shuttles etc to downtown, and then back to the airport after the cruise…I just want a dependable one that will be easy to find when we arrive into SeaTac, and will be easy to find when we get off the ship for our return trip to the airport. Who is most reliable?
Thank You!
Onboard credit for gratuities?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Hi everyone. I just booked a short cruise in Feb, and got onboard credit for each of us with the Black Friday sale. Can I use that toward gratuities? One agent I spoke to said yes, and one said no. I get a different answer every time I call!
