OzKiwiJJ Thanks so much. He is fine to walk short distances and get on bus. His scooter actually folds so you can pull it like suitcase, so fairly easy to take on bus. Appreciate you taking the time.

Considering booking NCL over Christmas to Sydney/New Zealand. Spouse has tbl walking. We will take a fold up travel scooter (Moving Life). Are there any excursions. private tours that he could do? My fear New Zealand is going to require hiking/navigating uneven ground.
Or should we do Hawaii Cruise?

Lisa thanks so much for all your organizing. Nice to meet you and your husband also. We had a lot of fun.

NCL Sun to Cuba, 6/25-6/29, Would return again. Used Blexie Havana tours, Orelvis "Elvis" our guide and Yandi our driver. Gave us a customized tour of Havana 6.5 hrs 130CUCs . Some of our group has trouble walking long distances, so that was taken into consideration. We asked to see some local areas, eye opening. Pick up less than a block walk across street from terminal. You will not regret booking with Blexie.
Way too short, hated to leave.

Just booked June 25 Key West/Cuba cruise on NCL Sun. Oslo deck oceanview rm, said to have staterms above and below, so hoping its quiet. There however is no elevator on this deck. How do you access this level? and hoping its not too far to get to elevator. Some people in our party have problems with walking long distance.Anyone stayed on this level.
Also is window blocked by bed ? rms 6220, 6219

Thank you all for input.

Besides a passport what else is needed? and will the cruise line assist in getting this and usual length of time to get it. Thought we'd be spontaneous and do a last minute trip to Cuba but in looking at some info see more is required. Can I get feedback, thanks

Begin looking at last minute Cuba cruises, seems all I've seen only have a 1day stay in Cuba. Do any have a 2 or 3 day stay in Cuba. Also wouldn't mind stop in Key West. Thanks

Sorry to repeat myself. Trying to decide btwn Canary Island and Panama Canal over Xmas cruises on NCL. Ist cruise since husband has tbl walking longer distances. These are ports for Canary - Barcelona (Spain); Tangier (Morocco); Las Palmas (Canary Islands); Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands); Granada (Malaga) (Spain); DISEMBARK Barcelona (Spain). Would these problem for lightweight scooter that can fold if needed. Can walk short distances, do stairs if he has something to hold onto. Want to be able to explore ports. Appreciate the input. Will do more investigating and call NCL too. His scooter will fit in room. (smartscoot)

Don't blame you Hank some people on a scooter or not are very rude. My husband would be very considerate of others as this is a new thing for him and we too have been in similar situations when he was in better shape. Thanks

Thanks, looked at your post. Am also looking at NCL Canary Island cruise and wonder about same mobility issues.

Is it too late to book this Panama cruise over Xmas? Just started looking at this and see so many people already booked. This would be our 4th cruise, love NCL.My husband has some mobility issues now, wonder if using a portable mobility scooter is a problem in these ports.

Thanks, I've posted on disabled cruisers board too. Anyone been on NCL Panama Canal, Pearl over Xmas? What did you think in general?

This will be our 4th cruise but first since spouse has trouble walking distances. Will use a portable, lightweight scooter (Smartscoot) but wonder if we'll be able to get off in ports and explore. He is able to walk short distances, steps with something to hold onto. Scooter is only about 40lbs, and can fold down if needed. Have not booked this yet, hope to do the Xmas cruise. Appreciate input.

Thinking about NCL Pearl, over Xmas, to Panama Canal. This would be 4th cruise but first since spouse needs help w/walking. Unable to do long distances but able to walk short spans and do steps if able to hold on. Now he will have a portable scooter (Smartscoot) that can fold down if needed. Is this a cruise we could get into ports w/scooter and explore? Really would like to do a Xmas cruise. Appreciate the input.
