No shuttles that know of but all the CBD hotels are a short taxi ride from the overseas passenger terminal if that's where you are leaving from. Any hotel in TheRocks area is within walking distance.

I've did this cruise twice..in reverse. The celebrity Solstice is a beautiful classy ship...and the ports fabulous. Patrick's tour in bora bora is a standout wonderful experience irrespective of swimming abilities. The lunch on the private island and was great too.

I didn't get an upgrade sigh but friends who left a few days earlier did. Norway has been lovely sea day tomorrow and back to Southampton for our trans Atlantic crossing,

Qf0018 on the way back...out of NYC via Los Angeles...at least it's an A380. The flights were part of a package this time not sure I would do it that way again. I'll be looking as soon as flights next year are released I need to fly into San Francisco and back from Dallas in October probably, my cruise ends in Fort Lauderdale..but I can get a direct flight from Dallas. Creative is one thing but with security airports are a pain..not that I'm complaining about security.

Oh I didn't want to hear that Aussie flyer...I've chosen business as first preference, premium economy as second. It's a bugger you get the points but it's damn hard using them. Maybe on the way back from New York it might be better ?

I had booked specifc aisles seats..fingers crossed those spare business class seats stay empty and no one waiting for points upgrade aren't higher in the queue...

There is space it's less than nine..just hoping the bounce some business class up to first snd that there are not too many in the queue.. But thanks fir the tips I'll do that in future. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Book early if it's a popular cruise..book late if you can bear to wait or if you can go at last minute, don't forget repositioning cruises. You can often get a cruise on a really $$$ line if they are repositioning,

As our dollar sinks it takes real effort to chase deals. Subscribe to cruise line newsletters, talk to your cruisie mates, take note of when sales are on, they are around the same time each year.

We just recently purchased the same fly/cruise deal for $1050. Same cruise line and ship but it was for the cruise departing on 5 November from Singapore. Looking forward to it.

Your cruise was before the school,holidays...that usually makes a lot of difference to the price...sigh

I'm happy to do my own thing in ports within a reasonable distance or ones I am familiar with but when you fly across to the other side of the world to ports to which you may never see again..then I'll spend whatever it takes...rather than regret.
