  1. does

Celebrity / RCCL...let you combine military, stock with other OBC or do you have to choose?

Princess lets you use it all!! As well as getting elite benefits.

The most we have had to wait for laundry is 3 days when there was a surplus of elites sailing and usually when there is an abundance of elites you receive a card in your room letting you know it will take 3 days.

  2. if you use your phone or your own tablet............ found it to be much smoother as you already have email etc built into these devices as you will not waste minutes signing in with your passwords and signing out again. I also have sign in and sign out on my phone and that makes it easy get on to internet and then sign out.

  3. I am also happy with what we get.

We don't take advantage of the 4 things OP mentions. However, the free laundry, internet minutes, priority boarding, priority tendering, mini-bar setup and the Loyalty OBC come in handy for us.

I would think (and hope) that if Princess decides to add any perks they will be for a new super elite category requiring 500 or even 1000 days. Full disclosure, we have nearly 750.

agree with Paul...... but we occasionally do wine tasting especially if we meet someone to go with and wish they would bring back chocolate covered strawberries as a perk and we enjoyed the tea with our daughter!

  4. Is there any chance you can change cabin for the first segment to match what is available for the 7 day?

switching cabins is not my favorite thing to do..........but the several times we had to it was pretty seamless......we would go talk to our new cabin steward before the end of current cruise and also let our steward know we were staying on but moving.

Pack your clothes from drawers and leave all your other clothes on hangers. In our case, both times a supervisor came before 9:30 and had us moved in about 5 minutes. You should receive instructions one or two night before end of first cruise.

  5. We were fortunate on our last two cruises on Royal to receive upsell to Suite. We took both and really enjoyed the club class dining for lunch and dinner. Some of the specialty pasta dishes were outstanding. We never had to wait to be seated and enjoyed the same wait staff who knew our special requests. Highly recommend club class dining and staff.

Although we were not in club class mini.. but a suite.....the extra price for the upsell was worth it to us and would definitely consider a club class Mini in the future.

  6. Good to know! This will be our first time driving to Port Everglades from Tennessee, with an overnight stopover in Jacksonville to see my mom. I'm hoping the traffic won't be too terrible on I-95 on a Sunday morning. We're planning to leave Jacksonville early, probably around 6:30 that morning.

when we drive from SC we always use the cruise port terminal. Very safe and covered. Traffic should not be a problem on I-95. We have stayed near the Villages several times and travel was easy.

Should be about 6 hours for you. Enjoy your cruise.

  7. Hello. I was googling F301 and came upon this post. I have booked F301 for a future cruise. Is it significantly smaller than the other window suites? Did you have any noise issues?

    Thanks

We stayed in it once and loved it. Great location and two beautiful large windows. Room is just set up a little different than the other window suites. No cabinets under windows but plenty of closets and cabinet space elsewhere. we had no noise issues. Unless you are staying in those suites you really don't

    know they are there. Enjoy!

  8. It depends on the person. People pay a lot more than that to book suites initially. Our cost for an upsell to a full suite on the Royal was about the same price per person per day ($699 per person for a 10-day cruise). We took it because we had paid next to nothing for our balcony cabin. It was my birthday cruise. I figured we would never get a 10-day cruise in a full suite for around $1,300 per person. People booking balcony cabins for the same time period in December this year are paying more than we did for our suite. A balcony cabin starts at around $1,800 per person for the Crown's 10-day cruise Dec. 7. A suite starts at $4,000 per person. (Those prices include port fees and taxes. My $1,300 rate also included insurance.)

Geoherb is spot on. It does depend on the person. We also took the up sell he did for the same cruise and our daughter and her friend also had the offer extended to them. It was what I considered a Christmas cruise and those fares are generally much higher. We all sailed in Suites for 10 days with all the amenities for about the same price as a base priced obstructed balcony would have been for a non Christmas time cruise.

This was our daughter's second Princess cruise and her friends first Princess cruise. What a treat for all of us. The staff in Sabatini as well as club class made our dining experience amazing.

Would I book a suite at full price........probably never.........would I take an up sell again.....bring me that offer!

  9. Just received email upsell from Princess. Just booked this cruise about 2 weeks ago on a very low priced casino sale offer.

Upsell is from balcony to mini-suite for $299 pp.

Ummmm nope, not going to happen.

Anyone else get upsell offer for this cruise?

Sent from my iPad using Forums

not for this cruise.....but for a 10 day on the Royal upsell of $159 P/P to go from balcony to Mini....took it
