Yes. You have to either walk or take a shuttle to the LAXIT lot . Only Black Service is permitted to pickup curbside at the terminals.
Once there one lane is setup for Uber and One for Lyft
What do you mean by Black Service? Is this a company name or mean black limos? Thx for clarifying.

Thanks for sharing this nice specific info and pictures.

Thx for your ongoing update. We are on the Jan 31 sailing. We will be hoping for calmer seas.

We do have a "Penalty Box" to use if necessary. There are tape lines and signs deployed for Groups A, B, C, etc.(1:00, 1:20; 1:40 noted, too).... every sailing.
The reality is that we have only had 1,000 - 1,200 on any recent ship day....50% capacity or less.
We are in the Guest Service industry, and our "job" is to promote the cruise line product by offering 'beyond expectations' experiences.
If it is safe to do so, we have adequate staff in place, and the previous cruise guests have cleared out according to CDC requirement...we will allow for early entry to the terminal.
However; Holland America Line, Disney Cruise Line, and Celebrity Cruises do not encourage guests to arrive prior to their scheduled times.

Thank you for this clarification. I appreciate it.

That was the medium priced package. It was called the "surf" package.
Thx for this helpful information.

We were successful in making the change at no charge by contacting the airline directly. Thanks for all your helps.

Princess Air is now your Travel Agent / Booking Service for your flights. I believe that they alone can change your flights and only to those that are included in the negotiated agreement with the airlines for your origin / destination pair. Good luck.
Thank you.

We booked Princess air with our January cruise so are past final payment. We have had multiple flight schedule changes. The most recent change has us arriving at 11:45 pm in LA (2:45 am at our home). What is the best approach to changing to an earlier flight? Airline? Princess? Thx in advance for your thoughts or experience.

My redeployment note from Princess for the crown TA said Regal on Oct 13. Since we had an outside cabin booked on the Crown, wondering what will happen since there are no outsides on the Regal. Any thoughts?
To add to the confusion, I see on the website today that Regal is doing a 24 day rt (ro US and Canada) from London on Sept 18.

Thanks for the info. I was also referred to this Amazon product:
Luke3DP Watch Adapter for Holding a Carnival Ocean Medallion (Water)
Water is one of the color choices for this gadget that allows you to add the medallion to your watchband or fitbit band.

Generally TA OBC is refundable, Princess issued is not. If you are worried about not being able to use part of the OBC, don't add any prepaid credit, for sure!

Would you mind posting the names of the ships officers for us? I'm on the next cruise and am grateful for any comments you share, and love your sense of humor. Your movie choice reminds me of one of my favorites "Amazon Women on the Moon"!

Thank you so much for this detailed information. I will investigate the websites and will know I am making an informed choice. I appreciate the thoroughness of your response! I enjoy doing this type of research, and am happy to be directed to applicable sites. Your post is an example of how cruise message boards should function for the good of all.
Insurance should not be thought of as a 1 plan fits all. The cruise line policies (including Princess Vacation Protection) are usually designed to emphasize various cancellation protection options. But like nearly all cruise line policies, the Princess plan does not offer very good medical coverage (the maximum is much too low by today's standards). That being said, for those that already have decent medical coverage (that will cover you out of the country) you may not care about the low limit medical. So my advice to the OP is consider what kind of coverage you want (cancellation, cancellation for any reason, medical, emergency medical evacuation,) and how much you need to satisfy your own risk tolerance. Then you can shop for a policy that meets your needs/wants. Besides your travel agent, cruise line, etc. there are web sites like insuremytrip.com and squaremouth.com that allow you to compare various policies (from different companies) on line. There is also the Trip Insurance Store which gets high marks from many cruisers. In fact, if you are totally confused about the options just ask for Steve at the Trip Insurance Store...and he can explain all the various options and pricing.

In the past we have bought 3rd party insurance through our travel agent. My impression (although I still don't have the Princess price) is that the 3rd party we purchased was about double the price for the princess plan (we are platinum so get the platinum insurance at the basic insurance price). We are about to book a new cruise and wanted to make an informed decision. Thank for your thoughts.
Princess insurance is “off-the-shelf” package for your cruise choice.. You choose on the 2 plans with fixed coverage and limits, regardless of age. For 3rd party insurance, you customize according to your needs, that may also include pre- and post cruise expense like hotels, plane fares and land tours. We always choose 3rd party.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Has anyone bought the Princess Platinum protection plan? I can't find a price for it on the princess websit and wondered how much it costs compared to what my travel agent will offer. . Anyone have problems using the princess insurance when needed? I realize that if its cheaper but doesn't provide needed coverage it is o bargain! Thanks!

Per a Celebrity brochure, no "by the minute" price is available anymore.
On board, but not pre-cruise, they do offer two additional options:
a) A one hour package that must be used in a single hour for $19.99
b) A 24 hour package that must be used in a single 24 hour period for $49.00
Thanks so much for this additional information!

We are sailing out on Sunday, bu did not select the unlimited internet package. Do they have a "by the minute price" or other, smaller, packages available for sale on board? I could not justify spending $200+ for a package. We are sailing out on Sunday, which may be an adventure cruise with the impending storms....kinda wonder where they'll take us???
Thanks so much for your interesting and informative posts.:)

We are on the Jan 3 Panama Canal cruise so guess we'll see a change on that itinerary also. If they change Ocho Rios to Grand Cayman that's ok with me. I would have liked to keep the Colon stop though. Did the $50 pp obc get offered with the latest change?
Anyone know what's worthwhile for a port visit to Cartagena?

All very good points! Thanks so much. I'll contact the TA ASAP and give him the opportunity to see what he can do.!

Thanks for all your thoughts. I checked and the Sip and Sail does not apply, and the current promo would be a significant loss for us, so I will wait and see what the next promo brings. Seems like there are also special deals available in October during "cruise week" which would still be before our final payment for the January cruise. Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate the additional insight.

We currently have an inside cabin booked for a January cruise, and are thinking we'd like to upgrade to a balcony. Our original inside booking was done during a sale that got us prepaid tips. We also booked airfare through Princess at a supposedly discount price (although I later found the same price on the Delta website.
I do have a travel agent although our former one retired, and this one is "new" to us. What is the best approach if we want to explore the idea of a balcony? The ship shows maybe 10% of the balconies as unsold. The interior cabins (which we now have booked) seem to be sold out (no pre-assignments available). We really don't want to lose our pre-paid tips.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Thanks. I certainly hope this is offered on board. I was frustrated that there was no alternative package on the website. Sounds like we have similar need for internet access. I really don't want to spend my days "on line" when I can be enjoying the ship.

Thx so much for explaining. We had arranged with a small company with black (non Uber) SUVs. I will check with them to be clear on pick up point.
