  1. We just got back from a four night cruise on Disney dream out of New York City. I was very worried about us not getting our supplies. We paid the shipping and handling fee that Baxter charged, and the items were in the room when we got on the ship. So far I have not been charged anything else. I guess it depends on how long you are going . My husband did well with his peritoneal dialysis . It just was a little harder than it was when he was not on dialysis. We had the most problem with his scooter. Baxter did not confirm anything with me like they said they would and it was a little annoyed at that. When I asked them where they delivered his supplies, and when they told me, they left them with Mr. Gangway. I was like what the heck, there’s no such thing as Mr gangway , but they insisted . As soon as I checked in on the ship, I got a supervisor.
  2. This will be our first time sailing since my husband started dialysis in 2017. He is on peritoneal dialysis and I just had his manuals ordered for four days on Disney cruise out of nyc. I’m very nervous about it , but we have held off long enough, is there anything I should be aware of? Baxter is supposed to be delivering to the ship, but I had to pay $300 shipping fee and it is nonrefundable if for some reason we cannot go. It is only a four day cruise to start and we are taking three extra boxes of manuals, do you think that will be enough?
  3. After canceling the cruise several months ago, we decided to book another cruise, out of New York City which is closer to us. Still worried about his PD solutions , so we have decided for him to do manuals and since its only a four nighter, we are hoping we can bring the solutions on board in a collapsable wagon. I don't want his solutions out of sight. We have booked Disney dream for October . Now I'm worried after six years of waiting to cruise again, i bet this will be the year he will get called for the kidney transplant and then we would have to cancel again because after that, you have to wait a year to cruise . Its so hard to plan lately , but praying this works out. Its not until October , so we have time. Thanks for all your responses , any info is helpful .
  4. Didn’t see a roll call for this date . Who will be on this sailing ?
  5. Just cancelled a cruise. We were thinking about cruising on Pd , But we had to sign a lease basically saying if the supplies do not make it to the pier You are s@ out of luck . We have not Cruised for almost 6 years since my husband started pd . He was going to do manuals. We were waiting for him to get a kidney, but that is not happening and that is why we booked the cruise. We were all happy about it until we got that form we had to sign and then decided to cancel . I’d be too nervous for my husband and not only that , it’s stupid that you have to get a covid test two days before you board , but people get on planes to get on the ship the day before and are spreading covid anyway. It just don’t make sense and it still don’t feel safe to me .
