  1. I also noticed that 360 is no longer listed as a suite perk.  However, it is also still on my travel summary.  I was  wondering if there was any way of booking it beforehand.  Otherwise I guess we will just have to try the dine line after we board.  This is for the eclipse cruise so it might be pretty full.  Do they keep back any room for suite guests?  We just have the small suite to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary.

  2. We booked a cruise with the old princess premier back in August 2022.  Since the upgrade our premier package shows as 75/80.  I thought this means we need to pay an extra $5 per person per day for an upgrade for 10 days which would equal $100 total for 2 persons.  However,  Princess says that we need to pay $200 total for 2 people for 10 days.  Not sure what I am missing in this equation.

    Thanks for any insight!

  3. Thank you.  I did just now manage to contact a Princess agent on live chat.  Very helpful.  He told me with the 75/85 premier it would cost $10 per day per person which I guess makes sense.

We declined but nice to know it can be done onboard if we change our minds.

As that cruise has been sold out for quite a while I wouldn't mess with it. We are also booked with the "old" Plus 50 package. When we booked the perquisites were better than they have suddenly become but, even if I could simply upgrade the package I wouldn't do so. (Sorry, just had to use the actual word "perquisites" as pretty much nobody ever does these days. 🙃)

Agree.  I usually book plus and don’t know why we went with premier.  We booked last August.  The changes to what we booked do not sit well with us so I am leaning towards not upgrading.  We will just do without the “new benefits “ and enjoy the cruise!

You would have to re-fare your booking.  Whether you can do a simple re-fare or have to cancel and re-book is a question for your TA or Princess rep.  Generally, if the Fare Code you are booked under no longer exists as active, you will have to cancel and re-book.  In that case you have to consider what you lose/gain in cruise fare cost, OBC, and need to preserve any EZ-Air booking.

‘Thank you.  I didn’t know that.  I will leave the booking alone as it is for the eclipse cruise in April and decide later if I want to upgrade.

  6. We are finally elite yeah!!!  We have our 55th wedding anniversary coming up next year.  We have booked a reserve class mini suite but are wondering about upgrading to a suite.  Will our FCC also work for this or do we have to pay a higher deposit?

    TIA.

  7. Could someone explain to me what the $100 shore excursion credit expiring 10/31 means.  Do you have to book shore excursions before then or will it apply to anytime after you have booked your cruise?

I am in the process of transferring my bookings to a TA.  I have a B2B coming up on Princess that I booked directly.  However, it looks increasingly that Princess will not be offering meaningful sales.  If they cannot, that is fine.  I will just go to a TA.

  8. We will be on a B2B Discovery in October.  I was wondering what the best time is for DMW reservations.  We can eat later if necessary.  I booked reservations for 6pm but maybe later would be better. Also wonder what time the shows are at.   We have not sailed since covid and are very flexible.  I have also read reviews about how difficult it can be to book specialty restaurants.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Ann

  9. We were looking to book the private beach villa in Harvest Caye, Belize. The description says it is up to 10 people but we have 11 in our party. Would we be able to have the extra person come to the beach and hangout (otherwise not have 11 people in the villa at once) or do they not let access to this beach unless your name is on the excursion?

  10. We are platinum and have 250 free WIFI minutes each so basically this is a perk we don’t need for this sale.  We are looking at a 16 day sailing to Hawaii for 2021 and would be interested in this sale for the drinks package and gratuities.  However,  the base price is much lower than the best sale ever.  It may work better for us to wait for the S&S promo and just pay the gratuities.  Wondering what others thoughts are as the majority think this is a good deal.  I am having a hard time understanding the add-ons as I do not see this anywhere on the Princess website.  Can you just book the cruise at the base price and choose your add-ons?

  11. We were on the Bliss from June 23 to June 30,  it was very warm and sunny in both Juneau, Skakway and Glacier Bay,  When we were in Glacier Bay it was so warm that people were sunbathing and swimming in the pools,  It was a little cooler in Ketchikan but still very pleasant,  This was my third time doing the inside passage and I think it is hit and miss with the weather,

Does the time on the app count against your internet package?  Thanks!

No, it does not.  It is separate.  We got off the Bliss last week and several of our group had the NCL cruise app.  It works really well but is a separate charge for the length of the cruise.  $9:95 + for one week cruise per phone,  internet credit is totally separate.

Highly recommend the NCL app as you can both text and call a person.  We found it very useful,

  13. Wondering about the following:

    1. Is there a limit to how many bottles of wine you can take on if you pay the corkage fee?

    2. Is the pool on the Bliss heated?

    3.  Are the specialty restaurants open for lunch on embarkation day?

    4.  What is the best time for embarkation?

    Thanks for any help.

  14. This was an excellent review.  Very balanced and informative.  We will be on Bliss later this month with a family group for our 50th wedding anniversary.  I especially enjoyed your review of the day at Glacier Bay.  It was a great summary.  So well written.  Thank you so much for all the information.  My question would be where would you suggest to hang out (dining and otherwise) to avoid the crowds especially on the first day?

  15. Thanks for all the input but I am still confused 😐  Not too difficult on my part!  I am the grandma and this is our 50th anniversary.  Wondering what would be the best time to arrive given all the priority guests ahead of us.  We would like to arrive early enough to book go carts, laser tag etc and specialty shows.  However,  do not want to be waiting  a long time after check in to board with children.  What would you suggest?

    Thanks,

    Ann

  16. Thanks.  There are actually 15 of us, 7 being children.  Could we all check in at my time of 9:30?  The others all got 10:30.  Do we then board right after checking in?  I am not very familiar with Norwegian and their procedures.  I was wondering how long from checking in to actually being on the ship.

I did group cruise in October on Escape and they did not give to me in OBC it was refunded to the credit card I made my final payment with. Have a great cruise.

I got an email today telling me they are doing this.  Is it refunded pretty quickly or do you have to wait awhile?
