Have used Godfrey a few times and always had a very good experience.

The CC Community Manager posted this week they will be restoring the search function.

Let's hope so!

Yay! Congratulations! I'm hoping to take the suite plunge one day.....Ahhhhh.

Completed 18.....Leave next week for the 19th, and will go on the 20th in Nov.

Their site was down for quite awhile, but seems to be up and running again.

No rougher than any other time.

Stay in FLL the night before, and take a shuttle the morning of the cruise to Miami.
We have used SAS, MJS, and most recently Jiffy Jeff Transportation. They all cost about the same @ $15 pp, and are all very good companies. I would pick Jiffy Jeff as my first choice. They use brand new Mercedes, high roof vans and don't pack you in tight. It was just a much more comfortable ride in my opinion.

Just renewed my daughter's passport. Only took 15 days!

We've used SAS, MJS, and Jiffy Jeff. All are excellent, but I'd give the edge to Jiffy Jeff Transportation.

Just used Jiffy Jeff on our 11 Night NCL Sun cruise on Nov. 20th. He provided excellent service. I highly recommend him and would book him again in a flash.
I have used SAS and QLS in the past. While Those companies provided good service, I feel Jeff's service and vehicles were a step above. Also, he provided us with transportation after the cruise to our hotel without any issues. SAS will only return you to the airport, and QLS charges extra if your hotel isn't an "airport" hotel. Jeff happily brought us to our hotel without an extra up-charge.
People that bash a company just because they are newer to the area are missing out. I'd much rather travel in Jiffy Jeff's larger Mercedes vans than be packed into a regular van pulling a trailer.

Many of those recent recommendations were first time posters -- I wonder how authentic those reviews are, or is "Jeff" creating accounts and posting his own reviews?
I've used Jiffy Jeff and will be using them again in November. They have nice, clean vehicles and provided excellent service.

Thanks so much for an additional (new at least to me) option other than the major shuttles everyone on the board suggests. Could you give us an approx. of his cost pp for a future unscheduled booking at this time just to have an idea.?
Most trips are $15 per person.
-
Glad to hear your excellent review. We are using Jiffy Jeff for our transportation in November. They have been very prompt in responding to emails and questions.

Bonaire has some of the BEST snorkeling! We used Woodwind Tours. They had fantastic service, food and drinks and made the trip fun for even those that didn't snorkel.
Snorkeling in Bonaire is very relaxing. You basically just float with the current and the catamaran stays with you.
WOODWIND is the very best in Bonaire!

We've used Tiami, Cool Runnings, and Silvermoon. All were excellent, but Silvermoon was probably the best in my opinion. The tours were all the same, but the service and food on Silvermoon were just a notch above. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Do the inside cabins for three have the bunk, or only the trundle?

Won my Ship on a Stick playing music trivia. It's currently placed on my fireplace mantle.

There is a restaurant in Old San Juan, called Barrachina's that will store your luggage for free. They claim to be the birthplace of the pina colada.
Here's their link. Click on "Free Services"

I have 3g + wifi and I'm wondering if I will be able to use my ipad on the ship without incurring additional costs? What has your experience been with using your ipad on the ship?
Nope. You'll still bounce off the ships system, (there are no cell towers at sea) so you will have charges. Your cheapest bet may be to purchase wi-fi minutes from the ship and use that instead of 3G.

I've never waited more than 1min. How do you get instant gratification? it's not done till you hang up and the TA passes along the message. By time I hangup, the confirmation email from the cruiseline is already in my inbox and my redlight is flashing on my phone lol
TA's have instant access to your booking through the cruise line's system. They make the same instant changes in your booking that calling direct can do. They don't "pass along messages".
-
So you can call your TA at 3am and make changes?
But it is a personal choice, it's a generation gap more than anything. My mom's generation likes dealing with TA's and middleman, while I avoid them at all cost. I want things done now and fast, one call to TA or cruiseline, latter will be faster for what I need/want, i guess that's why they call the young people the instant gratification crowd! lol But as long as it works for you, that's why PVP's and TA's still exist, even if they are a dying breed.
That's just ridiculous. I wouldn't call a TA at 3am to make simple changes, but it's nice knowing that I CAN contact my TA at 3am, if my flight gets delayed or my transportation didn't show up or for any other immediate issue. I'd rather call my TA who has helped me numerous times in the past then get passed from person to person in a call center. I guess I'm just patient and will wait until a normal hour to take care of minor issues or changes.
And just so you know, I'm in the "young people" generation. I just prefer not to pay a higher price and get lots of extra perks on my cruise along with good service. It's fine with me if you choose to pay more for your cruises.
-
It's all relative, as good as any TA can be, they won't be there 24hrs a day ready to take your call or be accident/illness free.
Doesn't mean I don't get a TA's prices though, but for a few hundred a person at most usually, I don't find it worth it to deal with a TA.
It's not a believe that you have better control, you do have better control direct. Anything you want to change with the cruiseline, you get your TA. No matter how good a middleman, you are still dealing with one.
Actually, my TA owns her own franchise and I have her business number, home number and cell number. She also has a couple of employees working for her in the small chance that she is unavailable to assist me. I've never had to contact her at an unreasonable time, but she gave me the number so that I knew I could if I felt I needed to reach her at odd hours.
And in the chance that the cruise line makes an error (which happened to me recently) she is able to handle the frustrations of getting it straightened out with the cruise line. (Which she did and got me a little something extra for the trouble.)
I don't really see how calling the cruise line directly is any easier than calling your personal TA directly. It's still just one phone call that I have to make. And I don't believe that a single cruiser has any better control than a TA that books hundreds of cabins with them a year. She has contacts at the cruise line that she deals with directly and builds a relationship with over the years.
It's a personal choice, but I just rather have an advocate on my side. And for me, hundreds in savings is substantial.

Since I am a shareholder of Carnival Corp., I like it when people pay top dollar to one of the Carnival lines. It helps the earnings and therefore the stock price. Keep over paying, so we can get dividends and the Shareholder OBC on our cruises.
Brilliant strategy!

With the discounts and the perks, we save anywhere for several hundred to a thousand or more by finding a good discount TA. I have never had a problem with not having control of my reservation. No question or delay in getting an answer has been worth $1000.
We've always saved a bundle with a TA too. A few hundred dollars is nothing to sneeze at and I get excellent service from my TA.
But, for those that want to believe that they have better control over their booking (and don't mind overpaying for the same product), go right ahead. If you do your research, get referrals, and find a really good TA, you'd quickly see the benefit.

We definitely got a confirmation, however it did go into my spam folder. I would fill out another reservation request. Maybe it didn't go through.
Or, besides Godfrey, we have used Sunny Liston. That was also a very nice tour if you want an alternative.
