We are about 10-15 minutes west of Wrigley down Addison. We were able to walk there during the World Series..oh man..CRAZY..but totally worth it:D

 

Even though the rooms are still the same, you will love the balcony. The only issue I had was our mattress. Hard as a rock, but our wonderful room attendant added more mattress toppers. Everything was sparkling clean. What is your itinerary for Friday??

 

This was our 4th time on Adventure and our 17th cruise.

Well that's a start ! LOL thanks for the quick answer !

Also Platinum and Emerald get some free drinks and deals loaded on their cards. For me, that's enough since I'm not a huge drinker but do enjoy an occasional beverage.

So glad to hear this. I just came from checking my 3 person aft cabin booked for 2 :D

I hope you get this resolved ! I booked online and it let me book 2 people into a 3 person aft. Would hate to lose it . Can you imagine booking a balcony guarantee and getting a corner aft cabin ? :eek: Just not right.

Well Kim , I booked with RCI on the Adventure of the Seas. Liked the itinerary better than the Jewel. Also got an aft ! Anyways this cruise goes to St Maarten, St Kitts, Antiqua, St Lucia, and Barbados. :D

What a bummer huh ? LOL I learn things every day !

I guess I don't get the 150.00 OBC . Did a mock booking as if I was not a C&A member ( platinum ) and that showed the BOGO and the 150.00 credit. :( Oh well ! I will be cruising ! :D

When I booked yesterday, I saw nothing about BOGO. We are platinum so my savings was listed as CAS savings. I assume that was the balcony discount ?

Also, did they stop automatically adding gratuities if you book My Time Dining ? I booked My Time and it did not make me add it. I assume I am getting the 150 OBC ? but who knows ! LOL anyways I would use OBC for the gratuities. Been 2 years since we sailed on RCI.

It says this starts today. I am not seeing the 50% off 2nd guest ? Not sure what I am doing wrong. LOL Hate to wait until tomorrow to book ! I like booking online but maybe I should call them ?

Loved this review Kim ! I am thinking of booking a cruise out of San Juan also ! It look fabulous ! Deciding between RCI's Jewel and Carnival Fascination. Leaning towards Carnival due to the itinerary. We love balconys and they actually have some aft balconies open ! Think I will make my decision tomorrow. Then I will have to REREAD your review ! :D

I have never booked with Carnival so I have some questions. Found a cruise I like in January on the Triumph out of New Orleans. The price is an early saver price. I am happy with the price and don't think it will go down. Anyways it mentions free room location upgrade. Not sure what that means. You pick out your room when you book. That is the room you get right ?

I take the little battery operated tea lights for the bathroom. Gives it just enough light.

Sports Bar opened for food at 5:30 pm till 5:30 am. Bar service was from 7 am till closing. Not sure what the tapas bar is ? Yes , Moderno was open for limited breakfast and for lunch.

Just got off the Sun this past Monday. Every time we were on the aft stairs, I would check for any smells. Nothing was noticeable when we were there.

Sports Bar also has chicken tenders with fries .

We did the northbound and went to glaciers on 2 days. No problem.

We are in Vancouver now and our hotel did accept the Discover card but most places do not. Visa and MasterCard are what they want.

Thank you so much for posting this. I think it will ease the minds of a lot of people who have upcoming cruises. Especially the odor comments.

We are sailing that route in August . Did you take the early morning train to Anchorage ? Have not booked that yet.
