Yeah, seems to be a pretty common siting. My wife concluded it was a nurse shark.

We were also there in late May in an OTW cabana and our attendant told us in advance that lemon sharks are often in that area... sure enough my wife saw one of those that day.

Mike. -  Could you tell me the price of a cabana. It's does not show up on my cruise planner for our cruise in Jan.

  2. Thanks for all the replies,

We have 30 cruises behind us and all clean the state room twice a day and cook 3 meals a day. So that's not over the top, I receive that with any cabin level on any line.  We had trouble getting the drinks we ordered in the YC or having a butler swing back by.  We had to argue on the first day to get the time we wanted for dinner, which we had read on CC could happen.  It was also the worst check in we have ever had, next time I will walk on myself when I get my room key.  We only saw our butler 2 -3 times all week, not an issue as the room was clean but not over the top.  We did enjoy the ship within a ship, lots of space on the pool deck and lounge but again that's not over the top service

We have enjoyed all our cruises and and do not look for the negatives.  We read cruisecritic for information to help us make decisions on cabins, excursions and any other tips so after reading many comments of over the top service we felt maybe we were missing something.

  3. Many people have written about their over the top experience in the YC.   We had a good time on the last cruise in the YC but can't say anything was over the top.  We have another cruise coming up in Jan, so looking to see what others consider to be over the top?

    Thanks

    Our last day😥

Sunny and hot (which in my book means more than 70).🤯  Pollen count has been high and has not helped the upper respiratory issues. Bring your favorite remedies!

We rode into town with the included tour and parted ways with them at Notre Dame--after the best potty stop of the whole trip. 80 cents euro gets you one the cleanest public toilets you have ever seen. On the Place de la Concorde,  near the obelisk. Back on the bus a half hour later. Then a zig-zag drive past the Louvre and the Opera house and the Hotel del Ville, before getting off the bus and doing the rest of the day on our own. We toured the inside of Notre Dame, made sure to get at least a view of the gargoyles and the flying buttress before stopping for lunch at a little cafe right across the street from San Chappelle. After lunch, went into San Chapelle, famous for its stain glass windows. Especially on a sunny day, it will knock your socks off.

Then we started walking along the river heading towards the Eiffel Tower. We didn't get that far. The temp and the pollen did us in. We wanted to find a cafe where we could quaff a cold one; no luck.

We are on the 6am bus to the airport, so, time to say good night!

Safe travels, and thank you for your insight to Frances finest.  We leave on it from Avignon in 22 days.  Our first river cruise, and you have answered most of our questions, and/or showed us where to find them.

    Thanks,

    Gail & Dave 😊

Looks great!  How much is it to book for the day?  And how many people will it accommodate?

Shimsdan, it accommodates 4, and I can not remember the price.  I think $159.00.

  6. We booked a beach bed this past August.  It was wonderful!  Besides the bed, you had two lounge chairs to move where ever you wanted, and two floating mats.  Water and towels were at our bed when we arrived.  There is a dedicated bar with bar service and lunch was delivered.   Make sure you go to the shore excursion desk on day one to pick your bed, and order your lunch.  There is a shuttle to the area if you do not want to walk.  It was very quiet and relaxing.  No crowds.  We would book a bed again.

  7. Why have the prices increased so much from the above attached file. the cost on the web site for the all exclusive is $675.vs E 475. The GOLDEN JASMINE - FOR COUPLES is $907 .vs E 550 I no the exchange rate is not that bad.

  8. Have been on the Divina twice and NOT in the YC.. Would not hesitate to go back. The service was very good, but not as good as celebrity, food was fine in both MDR and buffet, hands down best pizza at sea. Shows are very good with the Michael Jackson show one of the best i have seen. Ship is beautiful and very clean. They will status match loyalty program and for the value very hard to pass up.

  9. STU - We had cabin 10275 two weeks ago, and it had 2 chairs, 2 loungers & a foot stool. We love the aft cabins and the only time there was vibration was when the ship was docking and we did not have any noise. If you don't mind stairs it's easy to go up to buffet.

  10. We were also on the same cruise and would agree with lakelorain on his review. We had a aft cabin on deck 10 & had 2 chairs, 2 loungers & a foot rest. The Michael Jackson show was one of the best I have seen on a cruise. We used the coupon books for drinks (18 coupons for $84) good for mixed drinks up to $8 wine $7.50 beer $5. Most drinks are under $8

We have cruise 24 times on Royal & Celebrity & this was our 2nd on MSC and we will be back.

  11. Yes we reconsidered. We really like this cruise itinerary and Solstice class ships. We have booked most of our past cruises through the cruise line. We decided to use a TA and rebooked this cruise. I was only asking and hoping celebrity would honor what was showing on there web site. After two hours on the phone, with two Celebrity agents agreeing with what I was seeing, it got very frustrating.

Thank you for all the input.
