  1. Maybe I am understanding the OP as asking if the "free" pour of Champagne could be substituted by something other than the "cheap champagne". Not can the actual "Champagne Waterfall" be substituted. Will the OP please clarify?

I might add, that I like the charm of the Champagne Waterfall but, what I don't like is Princess now doing it early evening instead of later in the evening.

  2. On a sea day I cought my wife looking over the edge at flying fish and swimming birds (eating flying fish). ENJOY

That is one of my favorite parts about having a balcony. Nobody around, land certainly not in sight. When you see some birds, you know Flying Fish are around. It is so relaxing to just sit back and watch them!

  3. Love this thread!

We were on the Caribbean Princess 2 years ago when an announcement came at 4:30am from the Captain, not just in the public areas of the ship, but in all of the staterooms....... Would MR. ________ of cabin_____ please call the pursers desk right away. Then 1/2 hour later the same announcement!

Come to find out, Mr _________ was sharing a cabin with his Mother!!! and in the middle of the night Mom didn't find "sonny boy" in his bed and got worried. So, the whole ship was awoken twice in the middle of the night!!!

At about 8:30am the next morning, I wanted to call that cabin and wake up "sonny boy" and ask if he had a good nights rest!!!

Keep posting everyone! Love the stories!

  4. We just returned from the CB Princess repro, NY to San Juan. We were celebrating our actual 25th Anniversary on the ship, and our family had a party fr us before the cruise. At the party they had these big signs "25th Wedding Anniversary" on a stick. So, I stuck the signs in my suitcase, figuring, I could tape them on my balcony while in port, so we could see which balcony was ours. Well, our Cabin Steward found these signs in the closet, near our suitcases, and each day when we entered our cabin in the afternoon, he had these signs positioned in a different place. One day hanging on the wall, another sticking out of our pillows, another day in the shower, one day on the balcony. We had fun rushing back to the room each day to see what he had done with our signs. He really helped us to have a fun 25th Anniversay Cruis!:p

  5. Hi

My story to share has to do with my being seasick in bed for two days on a 10 day Cruise (Sitmar, Fairwind, Panama Canal Cruise). The waves were coming on to the deck, noone was allowed outside, there were barf bags taped to all of the railings in the hallways. The Crew was standing all over the public areas munching on crackers to try to settle their stomachs. The ship was dipping and bobbing, I was a sick girl! My Husband loved it, sat in the lounge and watched the waves from early morning until evening. I found my way to Medical and got a shot to knock me out. While my hubby was out watching the waves, our cabin steward kept coming in to check on me and feed me bread sticks (cracker type) and apples. Hubby and I were both grateful to have him so attentive. It saved hubby from having to sit there with me and I had my own "nursemaid".

By the way, that is the only cruise which I ever lost 8 pounds!
