YVRTeacher....we are cruising from Vancouver to Hawaii. We booked the cruise over a year ago and since then my husband(62) was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. I'm looking for a cruise aide from the Vancouver area to cruise with us. They would have their own cabin and help me transfer my husband from his wheelchair to bed, bathroom, lounge chair, etc. Do you know an agency or a person that would be willing to travel with us on the cruise? We are going on a cruise from Vancouver BC to islands of Hawaii. The cruise ends in Oahu. We are sailing on Celebrity Solstice and I'm considering bringing an aide to help care for my husband. Does anyone know a person or agency that I could reach out to? Or does Celebrity have any employees on their ships that would be available to care for a passenger to get them up and out of the bed in the morning? Of course, I would pay accordingly. I would also need help transferring from wheelchair to the bathroom facilities (shower, toilet) and to bed.

Most of the Accesible cabins on the Prima have the pool slide as the view from the balcony. Could someone suggest the best of the worst accessible cabins that they have had. Photos would be appreciated too.

So I actually do need a HC cabin. My husband is paralyzed and needs a cabin with roll in shower and wider cabin. With that being said....what cabin would you recommend? Dianne

On celebrity could I bring this on and say “this replaces two bottle of wines”?

I had heard that certain cruise lines would let you request certain alcohol prior to your cruising if you are an elite member? Has anyone else heard of this? We are cruising early December and to get in the festive mood I would love to have Rum Chata Peppermint Bark.

Honestly it's not too early...I like to collect information and make the best decision based on individuals experience. It' something to look forward to and gives us a chance to discuss it with others that are traveling with us. Thank you for all the information you have given us.

I would love to stay in a resort....what places could you recommend?

We are first time visitors to Hawaii. We are arriving October 1, 2023 after a 9 day cruise from BC. Our ship, Celebrity Solstice, makes stops at Hilo, Kailua, Lahania and ends in Honolulu. We will stay on the island for a few days. We are looking for recommendations on where to stay. Should we stay in a resort, on the ocean, or a VRBO home and where should we stay? We are looking to explore the island and see the different areas of Oahu. Not sure where to start....any help would be grateful.
