Hi CarolandNate!
We are going to be on the same cruise with you. We have chosen Rural Communities and Traditions tour. We have never been this port so it sounded as good as any. We signed up for the morning tour and figured we could wonder around if there is anything close by the ship.

I’m not sure if it is my iPad or what, but I’m having a hard time doing a search, so sorry if this has been addressed many times already. We are driving to port for the first time in Florida. My question is...does anyone have a recommendation for hotels with cruise parking and shuttle to port? Maybe it is easier to drive to the port and park, we just don’t know. Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks!

Thank you. I am aware that Waikiki is not a specific spot, was just looking for an approximate cost. I apologize for not searching thoroughly enough, most everything I found when I did search was from the airport and as stated in my original post, we are coming from the cruise port. I will continue to search.
I have no clue why my original post posted twice, again, I apologize.

Hello cruisers!
We are cruising to Hawaii in October and wanting to go to the beach in Oahu. Being retired military we can use the beach at Fort Derussy. Wondering the cost of a taxi from the cruise port to Waikiki?
Thanks!!!

We are staying at the Andersen Boutique Hotel and I THINK it is close to the train station. Is there anyplace in that area to buy a bottle of wine to take onboard?
Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your replies about balcony dividers!!!
-
Can someone help me....we have two balcony cabins side by side so we can have the balcony divider opened. Do we need anything to keep it open, like bungee cords etc? On the cruise line we usually sail, the door opens back on itself and needs to be secured...just curious how these doors work.
Leaving tomorrow to board the Liberty on Sunday and very excited to try something new!
Thank you!!

Cabins are not available until 1 ish. You will not be allowed down the hallways until then.
The in cabin cooler is exactly that.. a cooler. They are good enough to chill items slightly but they will not be cold.

Thank you!

Why don't you request a mini fridge from Special Needs department? They can accommodate some pax for medical reasons....
I would never do that. It is not a medical issue, just something we have had in the past.
-
That is already a disappointment...I don't like dragging our carry on's around a crowded ship and no fridge🙃 I'm trying to stay positive...we will have a wonderful time😃😃😃

We are sailing the Liberty mid January. This will be our first time on Royal. Once onboard, do you typically get to go directly to your cabin? Also, are their mini-fridges in the cabins?
We are very excited about trying Royal Caribbean, but wonder if we have been spoiled by always getting to go directly to our cabin and having a place to keep our drinks cold?
Thanks!

We will be on Liberty in January, a different itinerary. This will be our first time on Royal Caribbean, so will be following you closely. Thanks!

Thanks everyone! One more question...do they provided Ice in the staterooms?
The reason for these questions is, I get up very early and like to sit on the balcony. I don't drink coffee, but get my caffeine fix from an early morning Diet Coke, that I always have on hand in the fridge on our Princess cruises. None of this is a deal breaker, just curious.
Thanks again.

We are new (or might be) to Royal Caribbean. Do they have refrigerators in the staterooms? Are you allowed to bring water and sodas onboard. Looking at Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston.

Do we know yet what cruises will be offering the Sip & Sail? We are booked for June 2017 (Scandinavia/Russia), but didn't know if all cruises are included.

Been looking at the map of Barcelona, looks like Carrefour is just up the street from our hotel! Couldn't be more convenient. Thank everyone.
-
That Carrefour is on the right hand side if travelling from Placa Catalunya towards the port. It has a very good noodle bar at the entrance if you need a quick fix of carbs.
Bring a strong carrier bag with you as their plastic bags are a bit lightweight and there is a charge for them.
The lines for the cash desks look haphazard, but they move quickly.
Thank you, that is good to know, I will toss in a couple my reusable shopping bags....I can think of. Many uses for those bags on the cruise!!

Thanks everyone!

Quick question about Barcelona...we are arriving in Barcelona two days before our cruise, and staying in the Las Rambles area. We need to buy wine to take onboard and also juice and diet cokes. Is this readily available in the area we will be in, or will we need to go out of the area?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thanks everyone, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! Water taxi it will be:D

Thanks Cathy! There are six of us in our group all going to the same hotel. I'm sure we will figure it out. We have six months to get a plan together:p

Our hotel is Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli on the Gran Canal adjacent to Church of San Stae. Looks like the Orange line of the Alilaguna runs to the church, but the blue line runs from the ship terminal. If we are on the blue line, do we just change when we get to an intersection with the Orange line. Can we get tickets at the cruise terminal?
Thanks for all your help!

For those of you that have ended a cruise in Venice, did you find it difficult to get from the ship terminal to the hotel? With new new regulations (ban) on wheeled suitcases, we are concerned. I emailed our hotel for recommendations and they offered to set up transportation from the ship to the dock at the hotel, for a mere 200Euros for the two of us...one way. Needless to say, that isn't happening. Am I making this harder than it needs to be? I'm understanding that water taxis don't take luggage or at least it is limited. Would love to hear from others on what they did.
Thanks!!

No, we had already decided on that excursion before I came to Cruise Critic. I try my best to never cook, so cooking classes would be a total waste!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for the info on the area around the port, that will be very handy.
