  1. Weather in FL today is great. Heavy rain yesterday and even tornado warning. We are staying at the worthington resort. Leaving here tomorrow to get to port for 12ish

Well if you don't go to the FOD meet then will see you at the CC meet that's been organised.

Luke & Jay : I also e-mailed you but I have photos for you from the cruise!

  2.

    - Cabana Club Dinner: This has to be the most romantic Table for Two dinner. The lights of Old San Juan twinkled in the background. Food and service from the Tamarind. Cellar Master Tony was Host and he ensured wonderful wine pairings that complemented a lovely menu.

I'm glad that you experienced the Cabana Club Dinner. I did it in November on the Nieuw Amsterdam and we were just completely blown away by the presentation.

  3. Hi Everyone,

I felt compelled to take a few minutes from my cruise to share some thoughts.

I am very much a cruise veteran and have sailed nearly all cruise lines, most being with RCI, Carnival, NCL.

I must tell you that I'm definitely a convert to NCL now. In fact, I'm already going to book out either Breakaway, Getaway (again), or Epic for a year from now. The product, activities, services have been nothing short of incredible. The crew? Smiles, smiles, smiles, and more smiles.....

There's probably not much else I can share that hasn't already been on here. I just wanted to share. Those who know my handle know how often I cruise so I wanted to make this a compelling share.

    Steve

  4. Greetings,

I am on the 8 March, 2014 sailing of Norwegian Getaway. I always enjoy dressing up in a tux on formal nights.

Given how seemingly casual NCL has become (I've not been on NCL for several years), does Getaway even have formal nights?

It would be one less thing to pack so I'm curious ahead of time.

    Thanks!

  5. The Rotterdam was actually in Kusadasi, Turkey today.

  6. Just off Nieuw Amsterdam this past Sunday and a friend and I joined this event the evening of Cozumel. We had a massive wind, rain, and lightning storm but the staff went well above the call of duty. While getting absolutely soaked, they were checking on us in our cabana to make sure we were "okay" and that our wine glasses were full.

The cost was $129 per person and the menu was exactly that which was attached on this thread.

  7. It makes sense that they add something aft. Likely will have to have structural changed to support the flow rider. If they do it, it would be above the superstructure and have better views.

On Mariner I don't think they had the windows open around deck 12 spa, so putting cabins around this area would probably work.

We are on navigator in March, so will know by then.

Navigator does not have a FlowRider.

  8. Thanks for your well thought out and well written report. I enjoyed reading it and am amazed that two souls could have such different, but honest impressions of the same week on the same ship. I post my comments with due respect to your review.

We were also on the 10/25 sailing and our experience was different from yours.

Wow it really is amazing how the experiences can vary so much on the same ship. That said, I am very glad that you had a wonderful experience.

My parents were also on board in an SA and they almost never wanted to leave the suite (they did). They had exceptional stateroom facilities and service and we all had a great time.
