Yes, I have to agree it's not as easy as it used to be. I am starting to get the hang of it.  So you're changing it up for Thanksgiving nothing wrong with that. How's work going?

You and Sharon should resume your postings back on here.  Well, have a great Thanksgiving!

    Thanks for replying.

It was Bill's idea, but we are seeing an Amish pay on Friday afternoon. Back home on Saturday.

Hi Kathy,  Hope all is well with you and Sharon.

Happy Thanksgiving to the both of you!

This is not as easy as it used to be getting on board. We both are doing OK. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Bill and I are doing something different this year. On Thursday we are driving to Shipshewane, IN for Thanksgiving and to see an Amish play on Friday afternoon. We will come back home on Saturday.

Hi everyone. I've had trouble logging in since all the new site changes.  I am having trouble with WW . I think I have to go back to a point program not freestyle.

I see as they have changed things around, as I had trouble getting to reply. I know for Sharon the WW she was going to closed as there were not enough people showing up. So now she is going to another WW not too far away. Enjoy and have a nice Thanksgiving.

  4. Have fun. It was probably better to drive than fly. I am sure every flight is going to be packed. Safe Travels.

You see, Bill is retired from United, and we fly stand-by. So that is what we were doing going there, and we had confirmed seats coming back. So he canceled the return and now we are driving. It is only like a 4 hour drive. We would have had to leave 3 hours before the flight out of O'Hara, and we would be 3/4 of the way there. The nice thing about us driving we will not have luggage restriction, like if we were flying.

  5. Bocce Ball Winners! Did you win anything or is it for fun?

Have fun at the convention. (You get away from the jerk) That should make it fun just for that.

    Safe Travels.

OK, the first place team gets $40, and then the team with the most bocce's gest $30. Since we tied for the most bocce's we decided to split the money. So each 1 of our players gets $55. Each player has to pay $35 to join the team.

We fly stand-by, so since the flights are all overbooked we are driving on Sunday. It is about a 4 1/2 hour drive, so not too bad. You are right, it will be good to be away from the jerk for a week.

  6. Congratulations!!! I hope the other teams weren't sore losers. Hard to believe its almost fall! Cold and windy here today.

Yes, after a long and very hot summer, we all know all to well what is around the corner. Those other 2 teams that were going for first place are indeed sore looses.

So we leave Sunday for 8 days in CLE. Going for a convention.

  7. Sorry you had so much rain but was able to get away for a few days.

I can tell you this that the rain did not effect any of our plans. Even though it rained everyday, and it even poured back here a few hours once we got home. Now we have to keep our fingers crossed as our last bocce game of the season is tomorrow night and we are in first place, and guess what, rain in the forecast for tomorrow night.

  8. Congrats on the weight loss. Have a nice 3 day weekend. Hope the Jerk stays away longer

so you have some peace and quiet. Say hello to Sharon for me.

We left for Saugatuck, MI on Friday and returned this morning back home. I have never seen it rain so hard before all weekend long. Came home to more rain just now as well. But it was great getting away.

  9. Thanks, Kathy. Sometimes I am three sheets to the wind on those cruises. LOL. Glad to see you post. Hopefully, the jerk will take good care of you at raise time. Sharon hasn't posted I hope she's alright.

    Have a great day!

For me that was scary getting like that last Wednesday night. We did not get home from the club until 11pm. What really did me in was 2 chocolate martini's. The jerk can thank me for saving his life for sure. His son will not talk to him now as he is not listening to the Dr and is doing what he wants not what the Dr wants. He has left for Florida and will be gone a week.

Sharon, is OK. she took a bus trip to Colorado Springs and is now headed back home today.

  10. See Kathy your missed. Sorry the heat is a big problem for the Koi.

    Congrats on 2 lbs lost.

Yes your boss is a jerk. He's been given a new chance at life and he's not taking care.

    Don't blame his son.

    Hope Sharon is doing fine.

Yes, we shall see when it comes time for raises and bonuses what he will do. I saved his life, now he is doing whatever he wants. One reason his son is not talking to him.

    Kathy

  11. Hope you both are doing well! It was nice to see a post from you.

Miss seeing your daily post though.

I love your handle. I was past that last Wednesday, and I do not even remember anything at all. It has just been so hot around here. I cannot ever remember Lake Michigan getting to 81 before and it will still be going up with the extreme heat. Bill bought another koi today and now we are back to having 6 once again. This 1 was much larger than the other 1 he bought a few weeks ago.

  12. How are you two doing? Having good weather I hope.

Miss reading how your doing. Hearing about the Jerk and the mowing of the lawn.:D

No really hope you both are having fun and enjoying the summer.

Please come in and say Hello.

I saved the jerks life about a month ago. I had his son rush him to the hospital and he had 7 stints put in. Now his son will not even talk to him as he is not doing anything the Dr told him to do. He is doing what he wants to do.

It has been really hot around here. We had 3 days temps at 100. About 3 weeks ago we lost 1 of our 20" koi due to the extreme heat. Bill has been putting blocks of ice in the pond. Bill wnet and bought a new 1 and he is only 8" long. He should grow some before winter sets in.

  13. See Kathy you both have been in many people lives.

You read about people and you get to feel like you

know them. Yes at least come in once a week or more.

WE miss you two if you didn't.

Like you and the jerk, your games, you play bunco, me to. Was going

to tell you that AOL doesn't send pictures well, then you disappeared.

Glad the jerk is nicer but playing golf so soon?

Sharon lost her husband like me, she keeps busier than me, I like to

hear things she does. Takes nice day trips. One thing I would tell her, hire

    someone to do the lawn.

We had no idea that so many folks were keeping it-touch with what we were doing. Well I tried sending to Sharon twice and then we decided to use our own e-mail and to go back and fourth and it is much more private. But since we have been doing this for years, we owe it to everyone to keep it going at least once a week. I will talk it over with her.

I agree with you that she should hire someone to cut her grass. I cannot imagine being out there bumping around for 3-4 hours each time. Plus she has to be careful with her skin.

So we have this 22,000 gallon koi pond in out yard. We had 5 very large fish and with our intense heat we had a few weeks ago it stress out the fish and we lost 1 last week. So that brought our numbers down to 4. So Bill went up and bought another koi this afternoon. So now we are back up to 5.

  14. Close to Palatine. McHenry not too far either. I have to tell you, Kathy, you certainly have a lot of patience with that boss of yours.

I can tell you are a hard worker and he should treat you like a queen. Doesn't he know how hard it is to get great employees?

It is a long drive for us when we drive up that way. He will always be a jerk, but sometimes he is not a real jerk and sometimes he is better. Since I literally saved his life he has been very appreciative of what I had done for him. This really put a scare into him. so we shall see.

  15. I live in Mundelein. It was nice to see you both posting. Sharon, you are so active and I wonder if you have ever considered a 55 and over, active community. Someone like you with all that energy might really enjoy that lifestyle.

Bill's Aunt lives in Palatine, and his cousins live in McHenry. I know she is doing a great job decluttering her place. God knows that I need to be doing the very same thing.
