Can anyone provide an update on the introduction of Luminae on Solstice? I understand they started the build mid Feb - just wondering if it will be operational for our cruise starting 22 March even though it is not officially in action until April

Can anyone currently on Solstice give an update on the progress of Luminae?

It is scheduled to open for the 3 April sailing but some of the other ships seem to have opened the doors to Luminae ahead of time and we are hoping this may be the case on Solstice.

Hi Baycruising....are you still going on the QE 2015 HK-SIN cruise?

Unfortunately we had to cancel the QE cruise. A hard decision given the Cunard penalties for cancellation!! Maybe next year.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting to the Brisbane Grain Terminal at a reasonable price?

We shall be flying in to Brisbane airport and may have one or two nights in the city before embarking. Airport to city is ok as we can catch the airtrain but taxis out to the Grain Terminal are very expensive as far as I can tell. And presumably it would be horrendous if we had to go from the airport straight to the Grain Terminal.

Very grateful for any ideas from people who have been out to this wilderness recently - last time we were there the tent was flooded and suitcases were almost floating - very embarrassed when discussing this "port" with overseas visitors.

Come on Celebrity - this is silly.

I cannot get past the new "Country" page to make a new booking whether I use the link or try to enter from the "au" website.

I also can't see my booked cruise which I am catching on Tuesday and want to check a few details.

Please fix this for us all. I also tried to click the link to the "All inclusive" deal that came through on Facebook and that link did not work either.

Put us out of our misery please and FIX the website. We all love X but we don't like how hard it is to actually book our favourite line.

I don't think you need worry. The details are also on the Celebrity website. I have received an emai advice, phone call and text message with the same info and the OPT is definitely being refurbished. The real pain is being processed at white bay which is out of the way and then being bussed to the opt

The pool is lovely but not big enough for lap swimming. I found it the height of ignorance last year on Solstice when two people continued to pound back and forth doing laps with no consideration of others were just enjoying a quiet swimming experience. Cruise ship pools are hardly in the Olympic pool class

We will be staying in New York for several nights and have been looking at accommodation options. We want something that isn't too expensive :) and preferably somewhere that is convenient to the tourist attractions and/or the subway.

 

Does anyone have a recommendation?

We stayed at the Staybridge Suites near Times Square last year. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the hotel is still getting good reviews on tripadvisor

I have booked a Century suite for an 8 night Australia cruise on Celebrity Century's farewell tour. The suites are on the aft of the ship - a position we have enjoyed on other ships. Are the balconies covered? They don't look very large on the plans? Do Century suites give you all the suite benefits or are they more a mini? Any info gratefully received.

Can anyone tell me the name of the cruise director on Solstice for the current Australia/New Zealand route. Interested to know names of all the officers on board.

Thanks everyone. Century sounds like a real favourite of most of its guests. Our key criteria are service, food and cleanliness and she seems to tick the boxes.

We loved Silhouette and are eagerly anticipating New Zealand on Solstice. Now thinking about the south pacific on Century but rather put off by some comments and the news that Century will be leaving X. Does this mean she might be looking very tired by October 2014?

Hi All

I'm hoping someone here can save me a long wait on the phone to Celebrity.

I like the way they send me a copy of the guest invoice whenever there is a "behind the scenes" change. So now I can see that my OBC and drinks package from the current promotion have been added.

Today another invoice came and I cannot understand the entry - it is in the same "charges" section and it says AI CEL CLAL - there is no charge against either of the passengers for that line.

Does anyone understand this please?
