  1. The coffee makers were brought in on the first day - our room steward said we were the first cruise to get them. We didn't use it all but it looked like a nice machine......came with some coffee pods but no cream/milk/sugar so was just as easy to go to either the Lido or the Neptune Lounge to get our caffeine fixes!

Thank you for responding. Glad they are in the suites now.

  2. Thanks for the review. The Eurodam is our favorite ship and glad you enjoyed your cruise. A few years ago we booked a Panama canal cruise, but sadly because of a hurricane in that area, they redid itinerary and we ended up in montego bay. Agree with your assessment, we also disliked it.

Question, do you remember if you had a coffee maker in your suite?

  3. Preparing for my first HAL cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. Any advice on the earliest time to arrive at the port on the morning of the cruise?

Sent from my SCH-I435 using Forums mobile app

Normally they open for boarding at around 11:30.

You will find several hundred people there around 11:00 waiting to board ship. It usually only takes a couple of minutes to get checked in, so rest of your time depending when you get there will be sitting and waiting.

  4. Decided to get outta dodge early. Changed flights to friday afternoon and spending a couple of dats with friends in jupiter.

    Great move.

One cruise I remember being on was a Priness ship. It waited as a plane from Buffalo was arriving late from bad weather. Turns out it was several Bills football players on the plane. They had hundreds of fans for a group cruise.

  5. For several reasons, we have had several dinners in the lido on our last 3 cruises.

We found it to be very nice. Food was good to very good. Actually if you count the pasta bar (which I had a few times), you have more entre options than dining room. Deserts were also very good. They have staff who come by tables for assistance if needed. We found service to be superior to the rushed dining room staff.

The second formal night we dine in our room as that is lobster night and it's not available in the lido.

  6. You should decide what you really want, but we love the aft cabins. Deck 7 is also a great location. You get a nice "rolling" affect in the back of the ship. Hope you enjoy your cruise on the Eurodam, it's our favorite ship!

  7. Noticed a shortage on our cruise too. They used to have mixed berries available for ice cream topping for dinner on the lido. They had it the first night, none the next night. I asked and she said they were all out.

  8. As stated above, very similar ships. Eurodam is our favorite, Westerdam next. Don't know if it's just luck or circumstances, we enjoy and found the staff and service to be top notch on the Eurodam.

    Would go on either anytime.

  9. We just returned from the Eurodam and here is my assessment:

Breakfast is very good, wide assortment and most items were edible. Omelet station is still worth standing in line for. We are there 4 mornings, pinnacle grill 3 mornings.

Lunch is very good. Hit and miss on fish. Either very good or bad. We ate there 4 days and dive in twice.

Dinner was very good. Pasta station was my go to place. Usually about half the items that were on DR menu were served. We ate there 4 times, DR once, room service once, Dive in once.

In general, I dislike buffets and never eat at them, however I have no problem eating there on HAL.
