It’s a private sun deck that sells a very limited number of tickets, first come! No pool just misters and a bar.

They have an amazing opportunity for singles. They have the solo lounge that any solo on the ship can come to at certain hours to sign up for group functions! Dinner, theater excursions, etc....

I think this is mainly on the new ships, breakaway, getaway and escape.

Personally, I am sick of the post stay surveys from hotels and the like. The only people that miss them are the ones that have a complaint! My New Years resolution this year is not to complain about the complementary breakfast at a hotel :D

Look at the deck plans.

So I have looked at deck plans and do not see anything that says laundry. Our first carnival cruise in a long time, is the a secret code?

I would just leave at 1. We don’t plan on being to port until 1 next week. I hate lines! We maneuvered around the New Orleans port last February due to a race. We were able to walk across the race route to catch a taxi.

Hello! I'm loving your review so far. It's giving me lots of ideas for our cruise bingo cards (think fanny packs, kid on a leash, etc. ) and our "bar golf" game for our wedding cruise on Escape next year! If your team is able to find the group's contact information, I would greatly appreciate that so that I can book some group dinners when we get closer to the trip.

 

Enjoy the Cozumel Bar Hop tomorrow, we did that last year for my birthday cruise and my group said it was the best thing they did all cruise! (It was part of our Professional drinker continuing education, we meet yearly to make sure we are in top shape for the other drinking events that occur throughout the rest of the year).

 

I will continue to follow along as this will be our first time branching out to NCL, we are diamond on RCL & Elite on Princess.

Hi! Is there away to know ahead of time if your cruise will be having an 80's party or white party, ect.. So you can pack accordingly??

The white hot party has been replaced with the glow party. Neon glow sticks etc. the 80’s party is on a different night.

You should try other lines. Read there boards, their regulars are also complaining about cutbacks, and nickel and dimming! We will be platinum at the end of October, after our escape cruise and next cruise is on the carnival Vista! I don’t understand the ultimate loyalty some people have! We just like the NCL product and price! Our Vista cruise is more $ then our cruise on the escape. We will have to buy drinks and specialty dinning on carnival so it has become a lot more expensive then NCL.

It looks like you booked it for 2 people. Only one person needs to book and two people can ride for one hour. Since you are paying twice it is two hours

Correct. It is 49$ for two people for 1 hour. Booking is confusing. Just put 1 person!

That is too bad. The spirit med cruise was one of our favorites! The itinerary was second to none when we sailed.

We have sailed several different lines and feel they are more similar then different. I think the nickel and diming phrase seams to be targeted at NCL but we have had the same charges on celebrity and royal. We can't even think of purchasing the beverage pkg on carnival Vista!! Over 900.$.

I'm sorry your experience was not good. I was on this cruise and my husband and I had a wonderful time. It was on par with all of our other cruises. There were things we liked a lot and things that we missed from other ships. All in all, everything was fine.

 

We had fun watching the shows and liked The Brat Pack. We liked all of the game shows in the Atrium area, but thought there needed to be more seating because if you didn't show up early, it was hard to get a seat. Some of their shows really needed to be in a larger area like a theater.

 

We liked that there was always a place to sit in the shade and we never had to get up early to find a chair. The chairs by the pools fill up, but we like to relax in the shade.

 

We were disappointed that the comedy shows were repeats and missed the ones we see on Carnival where the comedians often have many different shows so we can watch them all week. We had actually seen one of the comedians on another line.

 

The food in the buffet at dinner was not as good as either Carnival's or RCL's dinner buffet. The breakfast buffet was always good and the lunch had a good variety. The food in the main dining room was delicious.

 

Our room was wonderful. We had a mini suite balcony room and the bathroom was the best we have ever had on a cruise ship. It had a full size shower with a rain shower head and two additional sprayers. It had a double sink. The room itself was nice with a couch, desk, closet, closet shelves, and bed. The balcony was average sized.

 

We really liked the cruise director. He was funny, entertaining, and had a lot of energy. Getting on the ship was easy. When it came time to walk off of the ship, we took our luggage to deck 7 at 7:00 am and stood in line. Once they opened up the line to getting off of the ship, the process was the fastest we had ever gotten off of a ship.

 

The frozen drinks seemed to have very little alcohol, but the other drinks were strong. The drink service was not as good as my other cruises and I think it could be because they have the free drink package special, so they aren't as aggressive in bringing drinks around or taking drink orders.

 

I would have preferred an internet package with unlimited minutes, because I have to log in to work every day. Even though I got the internet package as one of my perks, I had to purchase an additional package. But I guess it was fine because I got the first package as a perk.

 

I ate at O'Sheehan's one night and it was good. I wanted to go to the dance parties, but I was too tired at the end of the night. All in all, it was a great cruise and met my expectations.

We have done a sailboat over to St. John twice and also did a catamaran as a ship excursions. All were unbelievable! Loved the sailboat the best. Max 6 people.

We were going to stay on st. Thomas this time but the hurricanes changed all that. Western Caribbean here we come! Again, lol!

On our list for future cruise!! Love your review!
