Thanks everyone for the helpful information! We are very excited to try something new on a "old" ship.

Good day all. I just booked a great deal for the Reflection Christmas cruise in an S2. I was wondering if anyone with post covid experience could give me some insight? I've been on Reflection 3 times so I know the ship rather well. What I don't know is the following:
What is Michaels like? I was always a little curious but never gave it too much thought.
Never had a butler before so not sure how to use him/her.
Always wanted to try Luminae but is it much better than the MDR?
Will I be able to have them stock our fridge with drinks to our liking?
I've always tipped our room steward so do I need to tip both Butler and room steward?Any other experiences are welcome as this is a whole new world for me and my family. Our daughter is 18 so will pretty much have free roam of the ship.
Thank you

I always book a C3 and upgrade at a later date. And as you will find out, there is never a definitive answer when it comes to Celebrity policies. I've upgraded three times for a hump during Christmas cruises. If I book directly with Celebrity then I will call them multiple times until I get the answer I want. This last cruise, I went through a TA and had them upgrade me with no problems.

On Silhouette, the LCG serves a selection of gourmet burgers at lunch on sea days.
Does Reflection do this as well?
Thx
Yes they do. I had a burger on Christmas day.

Not sure if you are correcting me, but I was responding to the last sentence of his post asking what was included in the premium package.

I've been on five celebrity cruises and without fail have met and tipped first day our stateroom attendant. I still remember Krishna on our first Reflection cruise who without a doubt was our best ever.

Worst pet peeve was when a man decided to field a phone call on speaker in the solarium.

You can always get mocktails if so desired. Evian, Perrier and San Pellegrino are also included. The Aqua spa café has smoothies as well.

I just did it during our Christmas cruise. We did dinner in both Murano and LCG and lunch in the LCG and was able to pick our nights.

We get the drink packages as a prerequisite to any celebrity cruise. It’s no hassle and gives us ultimate freedom. If we order a new drink and don’t enjoy it then we hand it back and order something else. I have zero guilt with throwing away drinks. We also factor in drink prices pre-cruise as opposed to tracking them after the fact. The only down side is when celebrity runs out of Evian which has happened two years in a row by day 5.

I was thinking the same thing as prices for Christmas last year were $55 but increased to $70 this year.

We just recently came off of a Caribbean Christmas cruise for the 3rd straight year and loved it! However, Celebrity is scratching the S class for Edge next year for all 7 day Caribbean cruises. And pricing reflects this as prices have increased more than 25%. We are actually considering NCL out of NOLA next Christmas which would have been unthinkable 3 weeks ago.

I was also on this cruise and had a very early MDR time of 530 so didn't experience any headaches. It was strange that when it was rainy and windy on Wednesday, the ship almost seemed empty. However, the game room was heavily utilized.

I also was on this cruise and agree that the comedian on the last night was very good. The Neil Diamond tribute was sad and Celebrity should rethink how they book some of these acts. However, I did not enjoy how some guests treated this man. Walking out is one thing but heckling is sad and pathetic. The Christmas show was very nice so a good time all around.

We were fortunate as I snagged a two dinner and one lunch package for $100 pp for reflection Christmas cruise. I came across it about three months ago and didn’t hesitate. And the prices are rather steep as last year same ship/time were $55 for all venues.

That was a quick turn time as I boarded the reflection at 11am on the 20th. They have an amazing crew but that would have been next to impossible!

I know both the Reflection and Silhouette both have the alcoves on the lawn. They both also feature the Lawn Club Grill which serves steaks and seafood in a very nice setting. I've sailed both and enjoy the Silhouette the most. I have not sailed any other S class ship. The casino still has a real dealer for texas hold em as I understand the other ships went with electronic.

I have ordered through my online account for the 5th straight cruise and they have always mailed them on time. They even mailed me a second set this year.

I have a 15 year old daughter and I get her the premium package every time we go. Your kids will be able to get virgin drinks, Evian, smoothies, anything from cafe al bacio, soda etc. I think it is well worth it and provides some freedom for them. I think the only place to get smoothies is in the solarium aqua spa cafe.

We've done this lunch our past three cruises. It is a relaxing way to start a cruise. Salmon is what I normally get and two out of three times it was very good. I think it is very worthwhile.

I find myself in this position as I just acquired both book and card. I have to relinquish my passport for international travel/visa. My cruise is an easy one as it has two US territories and closed loop. HOWEVER, international air travel is not allowed with the card which limits what I can do in the unlikely event of a family emergency. I don't like the thought of leaving the US without my passport!

Our family is headed back to the Reflection for Christmas. Does anyone know if Sanyo who is a MDR waiter is on board? He is by far the best server we have ever!
-
We are planning a thanksgiving cruise on the Silhouette for 9 days. We have a 15 year old teen daughter and was wondering if it is reasonable to believe that this will be a cruise with plenty of families? We enjoy the Christmas cruises but those itineraries are becoming old and we wanted to try the Southern Caribbean. What say you seasoned celebrity cruisers?

I'm not sure when LCG went up in price but last December I remember paying $50. It was somewhat of a shock to see that high of a price. It's becoming harder to justify when the MDR is pretty good itself.

Thanks again for the many differing opinions and experiences. We are very excited as it sounds amazing and probably not the best idea as procuring a suite will become the expectation for every future cruise!
